Warranty Information

Warranty Coverage: Baby Trend® warrants workmanship defects for the first 180 days from purchase. This warranty is void if the product is subjected to misuse, abuse, abnormal use, excessive wear and tear, improper assembly, negligence, environmental exposure, alteration, or accident, or if the serial number is altered or removed. Any property damage during installation is the sole responsibility of the end user.

Parts Identification

Before assembling the playard, check the parts list (typically on the back cover) to ensure all parts for this model are present.

Important Safety Warnings

⚠️ WARNING: Failure to follow these warnings and instructions could result in serious injury or death.

Infant Suffocation Hazards

• Do not use if there are gaps between a mattress that is too small or too thick and the product sides.
• Do not use on soft bedding. NEVER add a mattress, pillow, comforter, or extra padding. Use only the mattress provided by Baby Trend®.
• The playard mattress/pad is specifically designed to prevent suffocation. It has a solid base, a specific length and width, and is less than one inch thick to meet safety standards. Using a thicker or different-sized mattress/pad may allow a child's head to get trapped between the mattress/pad and the playard side, causing suffocation.
• To reduce the risk of SIDS, pediatricians recommend placing healthy infants on their back to sleep, unless advised otherwise by a physician. ALWAYS place the child on their back to sleep.
• NEVER use plastic shipping bags or other plastic film as mattress covers unless they are specifically sold and intended for that purpose, as they can cause suffocation.
• NEVER use a water mattress with this product.

Strangulation Hazards

• ⚠️ WARNING: NEVER LEAVE INFANT IN PRODUCT WITH SIDES DOWN. An infant may roll into the space between the pad and the loose mesh side, causing suffocation.
• Strings can cause strangulation! NEVER place items with strings around a child's neck, such as hood strings or pacifier cords. NEVER suspend strings over the playard or attach strings to toys.
• NEVER place the playard near a window where cords from blinds or drapes can strangle a child.
• Children can become entrapped and die when improvised netting or covers are placed on top of a playard. Never add such items to confine a child in the playard.
• NEVER leave a child in the product with sides lowered. Ensure all sides are in the raised and locked position whenever a child is in the product.

General Safety and Usage Warnings

• The playard, including side rails, must be fully erected and securely locked before use.
• Make sure all latches are secure.
• Discontinue use of the product when a child is able to climb out or has reached a height of 35 inches (890 mm) or weighs 30 lbs (14 kg), whichever comes first.
• When a child is able to pull to a standing position, remove bumper pads, large toys, and other objects that could serve as steps for climbing out.
• ALWAYS provide the supervision necessary for your child's continued safety. When used for playing, never leave a child unattended. A child in the playard must be under supervision at all times.
• Only one child can use the Playard/Nursery Center at any time.
• NEVER use this product if there are any loose or missing fasteners, loose joints, broken parts, or torn mesh/fabric. Check before assembly and periodically during use.
• Contact Baby Trend® Customer Service at 1-800-328-7363 for replacement parts, repair, or instructions. NEVER substitute parts.
• This product is not intended for commercial use.

Assembly Instructions

ATTENTION: The playard must be fully assembled and securely locked before installing or using other accessories.

Step 1: Unpack and Prepare

Unzip the carry bag and remove the playard frame (as shown in Figure 1). Undo the fastening straps and set the mattress aside. Do not push the center down yet.

Step 2: Lock the Top Rails

Ensure all four top rails are fully locked before lowering the center. Pull up one rail at a time, holding one hand on each side of the rail and pulling up sharply. Do not pull from the middle where the center latch release is located. Make sure both tubes latch securely in place and each rail is rigid (as illustrated in Figure 2).

Important Note: The center must be raised while locking the rails. If one rail locks but the other does not, unlock the first rail by squeezing the release in the center and try again. The handle located in the center of the playard floor must remain raised (approximately 45.7 cm or 18 inches) while locking the side rails. If the center is not raised, the rails will not lock.

Step 3: Secure the Center

Once all four top rails are locked in place, push down on the center handle (Figure 3a). The center mechanism will automatically lock in place.

Important: Test each top rail by pushing down slightly to confirm it is rigid and securely in place before use (Figure 3b).

Step 4: Place the Mattress

Place the mattress on the floor of the playard with the padded side facing up (Figure 4).

Step 5: Secure the Mattress

Insert the hook and loop fasteners located on the underside of the mattress through the slots in the floor of each end of the playard (Figure 5a). Fasten the hook and loop fasteners to the underside of the playard floor to prevent the mattress from moving (Figure 5b).

Step 6: Prepare for Folding

Release the hook and loop fasteners holding the mattress from underneath the playard floor or bassinet and set the mattress aside (Figure 6a). Do not unlock the top rails yet; the center of the floor must be raised before the top rails will unlock.

Raise the center as high as the top rails (Figure 6b). Gather the legs and wheels together towards the center as close as possible so they nearly touch.

Step 7: Fold the Playard

Locate the rail latch release in the center and bottom side of each rail. Squeeze the lever with two hands until the rail releases the two tubes (Figure 7a), then push down (Figure 7b).

Note: If the top rail(s) do not release completely, DO NOT FORCE. Forcing the playard to close can break the plastic bottom support tube. Lift the center of the floor higher. Look for partially latched top rails and squeeze the latch release to release the rail.

Step 8: Final Folding

Gather all four corners and the center together tightly (Figure 8). Wrap the mattress around the playard frame with the padded side facing inward.

Step 9: Secure Mattress for Transport

Secure the hooks and loop fasteners by feeding them through the loops on the end of the mattress, then fold them back onto themselves (Figure 9).

Step 10: Carry the Playard

Place the folded playard into the carry bag and zip it closed (Figure 10a). Use the straps to transport the playard (Figure 10b).

⚠️ WARNING: STRANGULATION HAZARD! Children have strangled in loose straps. Never leave a child unattended when straps are loose or undone.

Care and Maintenance

General Care: Check your playard for worn parts, torn material, or stitching. Replace or repair parts as needed. Use only Baby Trend® replacement parts.

Cleaning the Playard: Use only household soap or detergent and warm water.

Cleaning the Carry Bag: Machine wash in cold water or on a delicate cycle and drip dry. NO BLEACH.

Cleaning Portable Napper/Changing Table: Wipe clean with a damp cloth.
