Safety Precautions
⚠️ WARNING! SHUT POWER OFF AT FUSE OR CIRCUIT BREAKER.
ATTENTION! COUPER LE COURANT AU FUSIBLE OU UN DISJONCTEUR.
Assembling the Fixture (Fig.2)
Refer to Figure 2 for assembly details.
- Return the arms to suitable position.
- Attach the column (J) onto the top coupling of the lamp body (K) by turning it clockwise until tight.
- Attach the pipe screw (N) into the bottom coupling of the lamp body (K), lock it securely with the hex nut. Attach the cover (O) to the bottom pipe screw of the lamp body, lock it securely with the fixture loop (P).
- Slide the cover (M) onto the lamp holder, slide the candle sleeve (L) over the lamp holder.
- Install the light bulbs (Not included) in accordance with the fixture specifications. NOTE: DO NOT EXCEED THE SPECIFIED WATTAGE!
Figure 2 Description: Illustrates the assembly of the fixture, showing components such as the column (J), lamp body (K), pipe screw (N), hex nut, cover (O), fixture loop (P), lamp holder, and candle sleeve (L).
Hanging the Fixture (Fig.1)
Refer to Figure 1 for hanging details.
- Shut off the power at the circuit breaker and remove the old fixture from the ceiling, including the old single bar.
- Carefully unpack the new fixture and lay all parts on a clear surface.
- Thread nipple (C) into loop (F) until snug.
- Thread the other end of nipple (C) with the attached loop into single bar (D) until snug.
- Place lock washer (B) over the end of the nipple protruding through the single bar and thread hex nut (A) onto the nipple until tight.
- Mount this single bar assembly to the ceiling junction box with junction box screws (E). Tighten screws securely with a screwdriver.
- Using proper chain pliers, open one end link of the provided chain and connect it to the fixture loop. Close the link.
- By measuring, determine the correct number of links needed for proper hanging height. Using proper chain pliers, disconnect and discard the remaining chain.
- Lace the fixture wires through the chain.
- Slip loop collar (H) over the chain, then do the same with the canopy (G).
- Open the other end link of the chain and hang the fixture on the loop at the ceiling. Close the link.
- Feed the fixture wires through the loop (F) and nipple (C) and pull until taut.
Figure 1 Description: Shows the components for hanging the fixture, including the junction box (not included), parts labeled A through H, and the chain. It details the assembly of the mounting hardware and attaching the fixture to the ceiling.
Connecting the Wires (Fig.3)
Refer to Figure 3 for wiring connections.
- Take the black wire from the ceiling junction box and the smooth wire leg from the fixture and twist bare ends together. Twist a wire connector onto the end of the wires until snug.
- Repeat the same process with the white junction box wire and the ribbed wire leg of the fixture wire. NOTE: Twist wires together in the same direction you twist the wire connector onto the wires.
- If your junction box has a grounding wire (green or bare copper), attach this wire and the bare copper wire from the fixture together as in step 1. If the junction box has no ground wire, attach the bare copper fixture wire to the green ground screw on the crossbar.
- Tuck these wire connections neatly into the ceiling outlet box. Then, raise the canopy (G) all the way to the ceiling. Raise the loop (H) and thread it onto the ceiling loop protruding through the canopy.
Figure 3 Description: Illustrates wire connections. It shows fixture wires (Black/Smooth, White/Ribbed, Bare Copper/Ground) and house wires (Black/Hot, White/Neutral, Green or Bare Copper/Ground). It guides the user to connect corresponding wires using wire connectors and to secure the ground wire.
Your installation is now complete. Return power to the junction box and test the fixture.
