Assembly Instructions
Step 1: Drain Assembly
This step involves assembling the drain components onto the shampoo bowl. The parts include a Drain Cap, Drain Screw, Drain Top, Drain Lower "Threaded" piece, a thin threaded rubber gasket, and an optional thick rubber gasket. Follow the provided diagrams labeled A, B, and C for the correct assembly sequence.
Step 2: Tilting Mechanism
Prepare the tilting mechanism. Using the provided tilting mechanism hardware, attach the four rubber spacers to the tilting mechanism. Each spacer requires one bolt, one nut, and two washers. After attaching the hardware, apply the rubber collar to the outside of the tilting mechanism.
Step 3: Attaching the Tilting Mechanism to the Shampoo Bowl
- Align the four rubber spacers on the tilting mechanism with the corresponding holes at the bottom of the shampoo bowl. Ensure the silver springs on the mechanism are positioned towards the front of the bowl.
- Once aligned and seated, tighten the four nuts attached to the rubber spacers. Caution: Avoid overtightening to prevent damage or cracking of the shampoo bowl.
- After the mechanism is securely attached, slide the rubber collar over it for coverage.
- Connect the Drain Hose to the bottom of the Drain Assembly. If any leaks are detected, apply plumber's putty or Teflon tape as needed to ensure a watertight seal, following your licensed plumber's advice.
- If the shampoo bowl does not tilt through its full range of motion after installation, adjust the two tilting bolts located on the underside (front and back) of the tilting mechanism. Tighten or loosen these bolts as necessary to achieve the desired tilt range.
Step 4: Attaching the Shampoo Bowl to the Shampoo Chair
- Begin by removing the plumbing access panel from the back of the shampoo unit and set it aside.
- Ensure the shampoo bowl is facing forward. Align the bolts on the bottom of the tilting mechanism with the holes on the top of the shampoo chair.
- Using the bowl mounting hardware (large washers and nuts), attach the shampoo bowl to the chair from the inside. Twist the nuts clockwise until they are securely tightened. A diagram indicates correct alignment (✓) versus incorrect alignment (X).
Step 5: Receiver Plate and Shampoo Hose Installation
- Attach the receiver plate to the shampoo bowl using the provided metal "I" bracket and nut.
- Once the receiver plate is in place, install the shampoo hose and shampoo nozzle, ensuring they rest correctly in the receiver plate as shown in the diagram.
- Unscrew the two metal nuts from the bottom of the vacuum breaker. Position the vacuum breaker in the receiver plate and tighten it from underneath.
Step 6: Shampoo Fixture Installation
To install the shampoo fixture, first loosen the nut on the bottom of the fixture to remove the half-moon metal clip. Then, place the fixture onto the shampoo bowl. Slide the half-moon metal clip back into place from underneath and retighten the nut to secure the fixture.
Step 7: Shampoo Hose and Vacuum Breaker Hose Connections
- Attach the bottom of the shampoo hose to the bottom of the vacuum breaker.
- Connect the bottom of the vacuum breaker hose to the bottom of the shampoo fixture.
- For correct operation, ensure the shampoo hose is connected to the side of the vacuum breaker marked with a down arrow (↓), and the vacuum breaker hose is connected to the side marked with an up arrow (↑).
