Product Information
Utilizing advanced conductance testing technology and reverse polarity protection, the 12V-24V battery tester provides critical information about the tested battery's condition to quickly diagnose battery and charging problems.
Compatibility
The battery type and CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) values are indicated on the battery label. Please refer to them before use. The tester supports the following battery types: VRLA, GEL, AGM, EFB, STD.
Safety Instructions
- Use this tester according to the instructions, considering the working conditions and the type of work to be performed. Using the tester in a manner other than intended may result in dangerous situations.
- Before testing, ensure the battery terminals are clean, as grease and dirt can cause errors in the test results.
- Wear safety glasses when working near batteries.
- To avoid electric shock, check that the insulation layer of the battery terminals is in normal condition (not damaged, exposed, or disconnected).
- Perform the test in a well-ventilated area. Explosive and toxic gases may be generated during testing.
- Keep hair, hands, and clothing away from moving blades and belts, as well as the tester cables.
- Do not store the tester in a place accessible to children.
- Do not place the tester near the engine or exhaust pipe to avoid damage from high temperatures when the car engine is running.
- Do not smoke, create sparks, or use matches near the battery during testing.
- Do not remove the battery terminals during testing.
- To avoid damage to the tester, do not place it in a wet or dusty environment.
- Do not disassemble the tester, as it may cause damage.

Diagram 1 Description
The tester device features several buttons: ESC (likely for exiting or canceling), ENTER (for confirmation), RESET (for restarting the test or device), FUNC (function selection), and MODE (mode selection). It also shows the display screen indicating battery status (e.g., SOC 80%, GOOD, voltage, EDC/CCA values) and the positive (red) and negative (black) test clips.
How to Start Testing
The tester checks each battery according to the selected current system standard and the parameters indicated on the battery to obtain accurate results.
Before Testing
For accurate results, the engine and all other power sources must be turned off during the test. Turn on the vehicle's headlights for 2-3 minutes until the battery voltage drops to a normal value, if the battery is fully charged.
Testing Steps
- Connect the red positive (+) battery terminal to the positive (+) battery terminal, and the black negative (-) battery terminal to the negative (-) battery terminal. For accurate results, ensure the clamps are firmly and securely attached to the battery terminals.
- Press the [Up Arrow] or [Down Arrow] button to select the BATTERY TYPE (as specified on the battery label), then confirm with the "ENTER" button. (See Diagram 2)
- Press the [Up Arrow] or [Down Arrow] button to select the appropriate testing standard (indicated on the battery label), and confirm again with the "ENTER" button. (See Diagram 3)
- Press and hold the [Up Arrow] or [Down Arrow] button, then select the battery's EDC/CCA values (as specified on the battery label or in the EDC/CCA parameter table). (See Diagram 4)
- Press the "ENTER" button to start the battery test. (See Diagram 5)
- The test results will be displayed. (See Diagram 6-9)
Diagram 2-5 Descriptions
Diagram 2 shows the screen for selecting the battery type (STD, AGM, GEL, EFB). Diagram 3 shows the screen for selecting the testing standard (CCA, IEC, SAE, EN, DIN, CA). Diagram 4 shows the screen for inputting or selecting the EDC/CCA value. Diagram 5 indicates the start of the test.
Test Results
The test results provide the following information:
- SOH (State of Health): Indicates the battery's overall health.
- R (Internal Resistance): Measures the battery's internal resistance.
- SOC (State of Charge): Shows the current charge level of the battery.
- VOLT: Displays the battery's voltage.
- EDC/CCA: Estimated discharge current (Cold Cranking Amps).
Final Test Values
Result | Interpretation |
---|---|
PERFECT | Ideal battery lifespan, SOH ≥ 90% |
GOOD | Good battery lifespan, SOH ≥ 75% |
BAD | Poor battery lifespan, SOH ≥ 50% |
REPLACE | Battery is depleted, SOH < 50% |
RECHARGE | Re-test the battery after charging. |
(Error Indicator) | The connector is not properly connected to the battery terminal. |
Diagram 6-9 Descriptions
Diagram 6 shows a result screen with a gauge labeled "P4". Diagram 7 displays SOH (80% GOOD) and internal resistance (8.3 mΩ). Diagram 8 shows SOC (83% GOOD) and VOLT (12.6V). Diagram 9 displays SOC (37% REPLACE) and EDC (135A).
