Safety Instructions

SAFE: Read and follow all safety instructions. Note all warnings on the device and in the user manual. Refer to authorized personnel for repairs.

Keep the user guide for future reference. Keep the device away from moisture and high temperatures to prevent fire or electric shock. Ensure the device is placed on a stable, flat surface before installation. Verify the power voltage is within the 100-240V range and properly connected to a grounded outlet. Disconnect the power cord or turn off the outlet when the device is not in use to achieve zero power consumption. Do not cover the fan to prevent overheating. Avoid storage in environments with temperatures above 60°C or below -20°C. Maximum operating temperature is around 40°C. When cleaning, unplug the device and use a soft cloth; avoid industrial chemicals. Do not pour liquid into openings.

Installing the Monitor Stand (Optional)

For MAG241C/MAG241CV/MAG271C/MAG271CV:

  1. Place the monitor on a stable, flat surface.
  2. Connect the base to the stand.
  3. Tighten the base screw to secure the stand.

For MAG241CP/MAG241CR/MAG271CP/MAG271CR:

  1. Align the stand with the monitor.
  2. Connect the base to the stand.
  3. Tighten the base screw to secure the stand.

IMPORTANT: Place the monitor on a soft, protected surface to avoid scratches on the screen panel.

Adjusting the Monitor

This monitor is designed for optimal viewing comfort with adjustable tilt and lift capabilities.

IMPORTANT: Avoid touching the screen panel when adjusting the monitor.

The monitor allows for tilt adjustment (up to 25°) and height adjustment (up to 130mm).

Models supported for adjustment include:

  • Optix MAG271C, Optix MAG271CR, Optix MAG271CP, Optix MAG271CV

Monitor Overview

The monitor features:

  1. Power Button
  2. Navigation Key
  3. HDMI Port
  4. HDMI Port
  5. DisplayPort
  6. Audio Port
  7. USB 2.0 Type-A Port
  8. USB 2.0 Type-A Port
  9. USB 2.0 Type-B Port (for USB upstream cable)
  10. Kensington Lock

IMPORTANT: Connect the USB upstream cable to your PC and the monitor. Once connected, the Type-A USB ports on the monitor will be ready for use.

Connecting the Monitor to Your PC

  1. Turn off your computer.
  2. Connect the HDMI/DisplayPort cable from the monitor to your computer.
  3. Connect the power cord to the monitor's power port (Figure A).
  4. Connect the power cord to the electrical outlet (Figure B).
  5. Turn on the monitor (Figure C).
  6. Select your input source in the OSD menu and turn on your computer.

OSD Setup

This chapter provides important information for OSD setup. Information is subject to change without prior notice.

Navigation Key

The monitor comes with a navigation key, a multi-directional controller to help you navigate the On-Screen Display (OSD) menu.

The default settings for the navigation key are as follows:

Navigation Key Operations:

  • Up (↑): Game Mode (Gaming Mode). Press the Middle button to save and exit. Press Up/Down buttons to adjust. Press Left button to cancel adjustment and exit.
  • Down (↓): Screen Assistance (Screen Helper). Press the Middle button to save and exit. Press Up/Down buttons to adjust. Press Left button to cancel adjustment and exit.
  • Left (←): Alarm Clock (Timer). Press the Middle button to save and exit. Press Up/Down buttons to select. Press Left button to cancel selection and exit.
  • Right (→): Input Source. Press the Middle button to save and exit. Press Up/Down buttons to select. Press Left button to exit.

Direct Access Button Operations:

  • Brightness: Press the Middle button to save and exit. Press Up/Down buttons to adjust. Press Left button to cancel and exit. Default brightness for FHD is 80.
  • Refresh Rate: Press the Middle button to confirm and exit. Press the Right button to enable and the Left button to disable Refresh Rate.

OSD Menu Navigation:

Press the navigation key's Middle button to open the main OSD menu. Use the Up, Down, Left, and Right buttons to fine-tune the desired function menus to your preferences.

Gaming (GAME):

Black Tuner (Black Tuner)0-20Use Up/Down buttons to adjust the value. This function enhances backlight brightness and is recommended for FPS games.
Response Time (Response Time)Normal (Normal)Users can adjust Response Time in any mode.
Fast (Fast)When Response Time is set to Fastest with a refresh rate of at least 75Hz, Anti-Motion Blur will be automatically enabled. When the refresh rate is lower than 75Hz, 'Fastest' will be grayed out. Recommended for FPS and Racing games.

Anti Motion Blur (Anti-Motion Blur)OFF (DISABLED)Brightness cannot be adjusted when Anti-Motion Blur is enabled.
ON (ENABLED)When Response Time is set to Fastest with a refresh rate of at least 75Hz, Anti-Motion Blur will be automatically enabled. When the refresh rate is lower than 75Hz, Anti-Motion Blur cannot be enabled and Response Time cannot be set to Fastest. When Anti-Motion Blur is enabled, HDCR cannot be enabled and will be grayed out. Recommended for Cinema, FPS, and Racing games. When FreeSync is enabled, Anti-Motion Blur will be grayed out.
Refresh Rate (Refresh Rate)Location (Top-left)Users can adjust Refresh Rate in any mode. The default location for Refresh Rate is Top-left. Press the Middle button to confirm and apply the Refresh Rate location. This monitor follows and operates on the operating system's default refresh rate.

Alarm Clock (Timer)Location (Top-left)Users can adjust the Timer in any mode. After setting the time, press the Middle button to activate the timer. The default location for the Timer is Top-left. Users can select their own location.

FreeSync (FreeSync)OFF (DISABLED)FreeSync prevents screen tearing. The default selection for HDMI is ENABLED but grayed out (cannot be changed). The default for DisplayPort is ENABLED and can be adjusted to ENABLED/DISABLED in any mode, resolution, input source, and at any refresh rate. When FreeSync is enabled, Anti-Motion Blur will be grayed out.

  • The factory default language is English.
  • Users must press the Middle button to confirm and apply the Language setting.
  • The language is an independent setting. User language settings will override factory defaults. When users set Reset to Yes, the Language will not change.
Transparency (Transparency)0-5The default for transparency is 0. Users can adjust Transparency in any mode.
OSD Time Out (OSD Time Out)5-30 secondsThe default for OSD time out is 20 seconds. Users can adjust OSD Time Out in any mode.
RGB LEDOFF (DISABLED) / ON (ENABLED)The default for RGB LED is Enabled. Users can adjust RGB LED to Enabled or Disabled (for MAG241CR and MAG271CR only).

Eye Saver (Eye Saver)OFF (DISABLED) / ON (ENABLED)
  • Eye Saver protects your eyes from blue light. When enabled, Eye Saver adjusts the color temperature towards a more yellowish hue.
  • Users can adjust Eye Saver in any mode. It is recommended to enable Eye Saver when using the Reader mode.
HDCROFF (DISABLED) / ON (ENABLED)
  • The default for HDCR is DISABLED. Users can adjust HDCR in any mode.
  • HDCR improves image quality by increasing image contrast.
  • When HDCR is enabled, Brightness will be grayed out.
  • HDCR and Anti-Motion Blur cannot be enabled simultaneously.
  • When HDCR is enabled, Anti-Motion Blur cannot be enabled, and Response Time cannot be set to Fastest.
Anti Motion Blur (Anti-Motion Blur)OFF (DISABLED) / ON (ENABLED)
  • Brightness cannot be adjusted when Anti-Motion Blur is enabled.
  • When Response Time is set to Fastest with a refresh rate of at least 75Hz, Anti-Motion Blur will be automatically enabled.
  • When the refresh rate is lower than 75Hz, Anti-Motion Blur cannot be enabled, and Response Time cannot be set to Fastest.

Troubleshooting

LED Power Indicator is Off:

  • Press the monitor's power button again.
  • Check if the monitor's power cord is properly connected.

No Image:

  • Check if the computer's graphics card is installed correctly.
  • Ensure the computer and monitor are plugged into working electrical outlets and are powered on.
  • Verify the monitor's signal cable is properly connected.
  • The computer may be in standby mode. Press any key to wake the monitor.

Incorrect Screen Size or Centering:

Refer to the Preset Display Modes to set the computer to a display setting suitable for the monitor.

No Positioning and Immediate Operation:

  • Check if the monitor's power cord is properly connected.
  • Check if the monitor's signal cable is properly connected.
  • Ensure the computer and graphics card are compatible with Positioning and Immediate Operation.

Icons, Font, or Screen is Blurry, Dim, or Has Color Issues:

  • Avoid using video extension cables.
  • Adjust brightness and contrast.
  • Adjust RGB color or color temperature.
  • Check if the monitor's signal cable is properly connected.
  • Check for bent pins on the signal cable connector.

Monitor Flickers or Shows Waves:

  • Change the refresh rate to match your monitor's capabilities.
  • Update your graphics card drivers.
  • Keep the monitor away from electrical devices that may cause electromagnetic interference (EMI).
