Introduction
This document provides essential information for setting up and using your MSI Optix Series LCD Monitor. It covers safety instructions, hardware installation, OSD (On-Screen Display) settings, specifications, and troubleshooting.

Safety Instructions
- Read all safety instructions carefully.
- Pay attention to all warnings and precautions on the device and in the user manual.
- Service should only be performed by qualified technicians.
- Keep the user manual for future reference.
- Do not place the device in high temperature or humid environments to prevent fire or electric shock.
- Place the device on a flat, stable surface.
- Ensure the power voltage is within the safe range (100-240V) and properly adjusted before connecting. Do not disable the protective earth pin. Connect to a grounded mains socket.
- Unplug the AC power cord when the device is not in use to prevent unnecessary energy consumption.
- Do not block ventilation openings to prevent overheating.
- Avoid extreme storage temperatures (-20°C to 60°C). Operating temperature is approximately 40°C.
- When cleaning, unplug the power cord. Use a soft cloth, not industrial chemicals. Do not allow liquids to enter any openings.
- Ensure the power cord is not damaged and not placed under heavy objects.
- Keep strong magnetic or electrical objects away from the device.
- Seek professional service if the power cord/plug is damaged, liquid has spilled into the device, the device is exposed to moisture, it does not operate correctly, it has been dropped, or appears damaged.

Warning: Prolonged viewing may cause vision problems.
Recommendations:
- Take a 10-minute break for every 30 minutes of screen time.
- Children under 2 years old should not view the screen. For children over 2 years old, limit screen time to less than one hour per day.

This device complies with the requirements of the relevant EU directives, including EMC Directive (2014/30/EU), Low Voltage Directive (2014/35/EU), ErP Directive (2009/125/EC), and RoHS Directive (2011/65/EU). FCC-B Radio Frequency Interference Declaration
This device has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This device generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. 1. Getting Started
This section explains the hardware installation procedures. When connecting the device, use an anti-static wrist strap to avoid static electricity and handle the device carefully.
Important Notes:
- This illustration is for reference only. The appearance of your purchased monitor may differ.
- Do not use sharp objects on the monitor.
1.1 Package Contents
Please check the package contents:
- Monitor
- Stand
- Stand base with screws
- Power cord
- HDMI cable
- DisplayPort cable (Optional)
- USB upstream cable (for connecting to the monitor's USB port)

1.2 Monitor Stand Installation (Optional)
For MAG241C/ MAG241CV/ MAG271C/ MAG271CV:
- Place the monitor on a stable and flat surface.
- Connect the base to the stand.
- Secure the base by tightening the screws.

- Align the stand with the monitor.
- Connect the base to the stand.
- Secure the base by tightening the screws.

Important Note: Place the monitor on a soft surface that can protect the panel to prevent scratches.
1.3 Monitor Adjustment
This monitor is designed for maximum viewing comfort and features adjustment functions such as tilting and lifting.
Important Note: Do not touch the display panel when adjusting the monitor.

1.4 Monitor Overview
Front View:
- 1. Power Button: Turns the monitor on/off.

Rear View:
- 2. Navi Key: Multi-directional control key for OSD navigation.
- 3. HDMI 1 Port: High-Definition Multimedia Interface.
- 4. HDMI 2 Port: High-Definition Multimedia Interface.
- 5. DisplayPort: Digital display interface.
- 6. Headphone Jack: For audio output.
- 7. USB 2.0 Type-A Downstream Port: For connecting USB devices.
- 8. USB 2.0 Type-A Downstream Port: Another port for USB devices.
- 9. USB 2.0 Type-B Upstream Port: For connecting the monitor to a PC.
- 10. Kensington Lock: For anti-theft security.

USB Upstream Cable Usage:
Check the USB upstream cable package. Connect this cable between your PC and the monitor. Once connected, the monitor's Type-A USB downstream ports will be ready for use.

1.5 Connecting the Monitor to Your PC
- Turn off your computer.
- Connect the HDMI/DisplayPort cable from the monitor to your computer. (Figure A)
- Connect the power cord to the monitor's power jack. (Figure A)
- Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet. (Figure B)
- Turn on the monitor. (Figure C)
- Select the input source in the OSD menu and turn on your computer.

2. OSD Setup
This section provides essential information for OSD settings. All information is subject to change without prior notice.
2.1 Navi Key
This monitor is equipped with a Navi Key, a multi-directional control key that helps you navigate the OSD (On-Screen Display). The Navi Key allows you to access various functions.

Navi Key Shortcut Customization:
You can customize the Navi Key shortcuts via the OSD menu. The following describes the shortcut options:

2.2 Using the Navi Key for OSD Setup
To start the OSD main menu, press the center button of the Navi Key. Use the Up/Down/Left/Right buttons to adjust the desired function menu according to your preference.

Screen Assistance | None | Allows adjustment of screen assistance in any mode. Default is None. |
FreeSync:
FreeSync helps prevent screen tearing. HDMI default is ON but greyed out (cannot be changed). DisplayPort default is ON, and can be toggled ON/OFF for any mode, resolution, input source, or refresh rate. FreeSync disables Anti-Motion Blur when enabled.

Image Enhancement:
Image Enhancement improves image edges for sharper details. Can be adjusted in any mode.

A.3 Troubleshooting
Power LED is OFF:
- Press the monitor power button again.
- Ensure the monitor power cable is properly connected.
No Image Appears:
- Verify that the computer's graphics card is properly installed.
- Ensure the computer and monitor are connected to the power outlet and powered on.
- Check if the monitor signal cable is properly connected.
- The computer may be in standby mode. Press any key to wake the monitor.
Screen Image Size is Incorrect or Not Centered:
Refer to the Preset Display Modes section to configure the computer appropriately for the monitor's display.
Plug and Play Does Not Work:
- Ensure the monitor power cable is properly connected.
- Ensure the monitor signal cable is properly connected.
- Verify that your computer and graphics card are Plug and Play compatible.
Icons, Fonts, or Screen are Blurry or Colors are Abnormal:
- Do not use video extension cables.
- Adjust Brightness and Contrast.
- Adjust RGB color or color temperature.
- Ensure the monitor signal cable is properly connected.
- Check for bent pins on the signal cable connector.
Monitor Flickers or Shows Wave Patterns:
- Change the refresh rate to match the monitor's performance.
- Update the graphics card drivers.
- Keep the monitor away from electrical devices that may cause EMI (Electromagnetic Interference).
