Wiring and Connection Diagram
The diagram illustrates the connection of PoE IP Cameras, a Router, and a Display Device (TV/Monitor) to the PoE NVR using Ethernet cables, VGA/HDMI cables, and a power supply. A mouse is also shown connected to the NVR's USB port.
Camera Installations
When installing cameras, ensure proper placement to avoid common issues:
Wrong Viewing Angles
Wrong Way: Mounting cameras too close to a wall can cause IR lights to reflect off the wall and into the lens at night, affecting image quality. Right Way: Adjust camera lens direction to face away from walls.
Close Object Reflects
Wrong Way: Placing objects too close to the camera lens can cause light reflection from IR lights into the lens. Right Way: Move objects away from the camera lens or reposition the camera.
Close Wire Cable Reflects
Wrong Way: Camera cables (power or Ethernet) positioned too close to the lens can reflect IR light. Right Way: Route cables away from the camera lens and secure them to the back of the camera.
1 NVR Installation
1.1 Hard Disk Installation
Install the hard disk drive (HDD) before operating the NVR. Without an HDD, the video recorder can only monitor live feeds but cannot record or play back footage.
Steps:
- Remove the NVR case.
- Plug in the SATA cable to the HDD.
- Screw the HDD to the bottom of the NVR.
- Install the case back.
Notice: Use a specialized monitoring hard drive for longer recording times. The NVR supports both 3.5" and 2.5" SATA HDDs.
Warning: Ensure the NVR is powered off before installation.
1.2 Boot & Preview
Verify that the power supply meets the video recorder's requirements. After connecting power, the NVR's front indicator will light up, and a buzzer sound will indicate the device is booting. The display will then show the preview image. In case of a power outage, the device will automatically resume its previous state upon recovery.
