AKO D142H232 Temperature Controller Installation Instructions
Model Series: D142H232
Manufacturer: AKO
CE Certified
1- Warnings
Failure to follow manufacturer instructions may compromise device safety. Use only AKO-supplied probes. Install in a location protected from vibrations, water, and corrosive gases, within the specified ambient temperature range. Ensure probes are placed in locations without external heat influences, except for the measured temperature. The power supply circuit requires a main switch rated at least 2A, 230V, located nearby. Use H05VV-F or H05V-K cables. Minimum cable gauge should be 1 mm², with 2.5 mm² for relay contacts. Probe extensions up to 1000m with 0.5 mm² cable will have a maximum deviation of 0.25°C (using extension cable ref. AKO-15586). Note: Equipment is not compatible with AKO-14917 (external communication module) and AKO-14918 (programming key). The probe and its cable should NEVER be installed in the same conduit as power, control, or supply cables.
2- Installation
The device requires a panel cutout of 71 x 29 mm. The front panel dimensions are 79 x 38 mm, with a depth of 61 mm. Connections are made via screw terminals for cables up to 2.5 mm².
3- Wiring
Wiring diagrams are provided for various AKO models including AKO-D14112, AKO-D1412x-2, AKO-D143xx, and AKO-D142xx. These diagrams illustrate connections for power supply (LN), relay outputs (COOL, FAN, AUX, RES), and probe inputs (S1, S2/D12). Digital inputs (DI1) are also shown. Specific models like AKO-D14120-2, AKO-D14123-2, AKO-D14212, AKO-D14220, AKO-D14223, AKO-D14320, and AKO-D14323 are detailed with their respective voltage and frequency ratings.
4- Operation
The controller features an ECO relay, FAN relay, COOL relay, and AUX relay. The display shows temperature indications. The keyboard includes ESC, SET, UP, and DOWN keys.
- ESC Key: Press for 5 seconds to start/stop Fast Freezing mode. In the programming menu, it exits without saving or returns to the previous level.
- SET Key: Press for 5 seconds to modify the set point (SP). Press for 10 seconds to access the programming menu. In the programming menu, it accepts the new value or goes to the next level.
- DOWN Key: Pressing for 5 seconds activates Standby mode. Pressing for 2 seconds returns to normal mode. In Standby mode, the equipment performs no actions, only the indicator is displayed. The programming menu allows scrolling through levels or changing parameter values.
- UP Key: Pressing for 5 seconds starts/stops defrosting. The programming menu allows scrolling through levels or changing parameter values.
Accessing Set Point and Programming: Release SET to access set point. Release SET again to access programming. Press SET to accept value and exit.
Programming Menu Navigation: Navigate through Level 1 (Menu), Level 2 (Parameters), and Level 3 (Values) using the keys. Press SET to confirm and ESC to exit or go back.
5- Start-up
Upon power-up, the equipment enters Wizard mode (P3/1 flashing). Use the UP/DOWN keys to select the most appropriate application and press SET. The wizard configures parameters based on the chosen application (e.g., Multipurpose, Frozen, Fruits and Vegetables, Fresh Fish, Soft Drinks, Bottle Racks, AC, Heat/Incubators). Refer to the "Default settings by application" table for specific configurations.
6- Table of Parameters and Messages
This section details various parameters (P0-P13, C0-C12, d0-d9, F0-F3, A0-A12, L5, PU, Pr, EP) that control the controller's functionality, including temperature adjustment, differentials, defrost control, fan control, alarms, and input/output configurations. Each parameter has a description, value range, default setting, and units (e.g., °C, °F, min, h). Messages displayed by the controller are also listed with their descriptions and corresponding actions (D=Display, A=Activate alarm relay).
Default Settings by Application (P3): A table provides default parameter values for different applications like Multipurpose, Frozen, Fruits and Vegetables, Fresh Fish, Soft Drinks, Bottle Racks, AC, and Heat/Incubators.
7- Technical Specifications
Detailed technical specifications are provided for various AKO models, including power supply ratings (e.g., 120V~, 230V~), VA consumption, maximum SELV voltage, input types (NTC/PTC, digital inputs), relay ratings (COOL, FAN, AUX), number of relay operations, probe types and measurement ranges (-50.0 °C to +99.9 °C for NTC, -50.0 °C to +150 °C for PTC), resolution (0.1 °C), working and storage environment conditions, class of protection (IP65 front panel), fixation method, panel cutout dimensions, front panel dimensions, depth, and connection types. It also specifies control device ratings, double insulation, rated pulse voltage, and temperatures during ball-pressure tests.
