AKO D142H231 Installation Instructions
1. Warnings
Failure to follow the manufacturer's instructions may compromise the safety requirements of the appliance. Only use probes supplied by AKO for correct operation. The equipment must be installed in a location protected from vibrations, water, and corrosive gases, where the ambient temperature does not exceed the value specified in the technical data. For accurate readings, the probe should be placed in a location without thermal influences other than the temperature to be measured or controlled. The power supply circuit must be equipped with a disconnect switch of at least 2 A, 230 V, located near the appliance. Cables should enter through the rear and be of type H05VV-F or H05V-K. The cross-section used will depend on current local regulations but must never be less than 1 mm². Cables for connecting relay contacts must have a cross-section of 2.5 mm². For extensions of the NTC probe up to 1,000 m with a minimum 0.5 mm² cable, the maximum deviation will be 0.25 °C (probe extension cable ref. AKO-15586). ATTENTION: Equipment not compatible with AKO-14917 (External communication module) and AKO-14918 (Programming key). The probe and its cable must NEVER be installed in a conduit together with power, control, or supply cables.

S2/DI2: Probe 2, defrost or digital input 2 (Depending on P4).
DI1: Digital input 1.
4. Operation
The display shows the current temperature. Indicators show the status of various relays and modes:
- Display: Shows current temperature.
- Relé FAN active: Indicates the fan relay is active.
- Relé COOL active (PO=0): Indicates the cooling relay is active.
- Relé AUX active: Indicates the auxiliary relay is active.
- Relé RES active (PO=1): Indicates the heating relay is active.
- Modo ECO activo: Indicates ECO mode is active.
- Modo Fast Freezing activo: Indicates Fast Freezing mode is active.
- Modo Stand-by activo: Indicates Stand-by mode is active.
- Luces encendidas (P6=3): Indicates lights are on.
- Relé DEF activo: Indicates the defrost relay is active.
Key Functions:
- ESC / ⏚: Pressing for 5 seconds starts/stops Fast Freezing. In the programming menu, exits the parameter without saving changes, returns to the previous level, or exits programming.
- SET: Pressing for 5 seconds allows changing the setpoint (SP). Pressing for 10 seconds accesses the programming menu. In the programming menu, enters the displayed level or accepts the new value during parameter adjustment.
- ▲: Pressing for 5 seconds starts/stops defrosting. In the programming menu, scrolls through levels or varies parameter values.
- ▼: Pressing for 5 seconds activates Stand-by mode; pressing for 2 seconds returns to normal mode. In Stand-by, the equipment performs no action and only the indicator light is shown on the display. In the programming menu, scrolls through levels or varies parameter values.
4.1 Accessing Setpoint and Programming
Changing the Setpoint (SP): Press SET for 5 seconds, then release. The display shows the current setpoint. Use ▲ or ▼ to adjust the value. Press SET to confirm.
Accessing Programming Menu: Press SET for 10 seconds. The display shows the first parameter (e.g., SP/2.5). Use ▲ or ▼ to navigate through parameters. Press SET to enter a parameter's value. Use ▲ or ▼ to adjust the value, then press SET to confirm and move to the next parameter or level.
5. Commissioning
Upon receiving power, the equipment will start in WIZARD mode (InI flashing). Press ▲ or ▼ to select the most suitable application and press SET. The wizard will configure the equipment parameters according to the chosen application (refer to the default parameters table by application).
