This user manual will help you assemble and operate your new electric scooter. Be sure to read ALL OF THE INFORMATION in this manual before riding.
NOTE TO ALL RIDERS UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE: It's very important that you get parental permission before riding your electric scooter.

ℹ️ DON'T RIDE UNTIL YOU READ THIS:
- ⛑️ ALWAYS wear a helmet when riding your electric scooter.
- ? Make sure your scooter has a full battery before taking it out to ride.
- ⚠️ Always be aware of local road laws, and follow them.
- ? Do not ride the scooter under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- ? Always respect pedestrians.
- ?️ Do not ride under wet conditions. The scooter may slide from under your feet causing injury. Wet conditions may damage the electronics and void the warranty.
⚠️ WARNING MESSAGE
- Avoid water: The scooter is not waterproof. Electronics may be damaged by water, which is not covered by warranty. Riding in wet conditions is dangerous and may result in injury.
- Abuse: Physical damage due to negligent care and extreme riding is not covered.
- Risk: Riding the Gotrax Scooter carries risks of severe injury or death from loss of control, collisions, and falls. Use caution and ride at your own risk.
- Modification: Do not modify the product from its original design.
- Moving Parts: Keep hands and all body parts away from moving parts while operating the scooter.
- Pre-Ride Check: Before riding, ensure the scooter is operating correctly.
- Braking System: Before riding, check that the braking system is functioning properly and that all safety labels are understood.
- Guards: Before riding, ensure all axle guards, chain guards, or other covers supplied by the manufacturer are in place and serviceable.
- Tires: Before riding, check that tires are in good condition, properly inflated, and have sufficient tread remaining.
- Load Rating: Never exceed the 220 lb (100 kg) maximum load rating.
- Age Limit: The electric scooter should never be used by children under the age of 13.
- Maximum Speed: Your electric scooter has a maximum speed of 15.5 mph.

Description of contents: The package includes the electric scooter, the console and handlebars assembly, a power adapter and charging cable, an Allen wrench, screws for assembly, a tire pump extender, and a safety pin.
Remove all packaging material, then inspect each item for any accidental damage that may have occurred during shipping.
? GET TO KNOW YOUR SCOOTER
The electric scooter comes partially assembled.
- Headlight: Located at the front of the handlebars.
- Tiller: The vertical steering column.
- Hub Motor: Integrated into the front wheel.
- Accelerator (right thumb throttle): Lever on the right handlebar to control speed.
- Console: Display unit on the handlebars.
- Charger Port: Socket for charging the battery.
- Hook: For folding the scooter.
- Brake (left thumb throttle): Lever on the left handlebar for braking.
- Folding System: Mechanism for folding the scooter.
- Kickstand: Supports the scooter when parked.
- Rear Brake: Located above the rear wheel.
- Fender Buckle: Part of the folding mechanism.
- Rear Reflector: Located on the rear fender.
- Disc Brake: On the rear wheel.
? ASSEMBLE YOUR SCOOTER
1. Unfold Scooter & Lock in Upright Position
Description of action: Press down on the rear fender, separate the folding hook and fender buckle, then lift the tiller upright. Once the scooter is locked in the upright position, verify by gently trying to fold.
2. Detach Hook and Remove Plug Inside Tiller
Description of action: Use the Allen wrench to loosen the screws located at the hook and detach it. Once the hook and screws are removed, make sure to remove the plug inside the top of the tiller.
3. Place Console Into Tiller & Reattach
Description of action: Place the console into the top of the tiller. Once the console is attached, use the Allen wrench to attach the hook back to the tiller with the two screws.
? CHARGE YOUR SCOOTER
Before using the scooter, you must fully charge the battery.
Description of process: Connect the scooter to a power source using the provided charger. An arrow indicates the charging port on the scooter.
- Open the rubber charging port cover.
- Insert the charging plug into the port.
- The charger box will have a green light when fully charged and a red light when charging.
- When charging is complete, be sure to cover the charging port to keep it clear of dust and debris.
⚙️ SCOOTER CONSOLE FUNCTIONS
- Power On: Press and hold the red button for 1 second.
- Power Off: Press and hold the red button for 5 seconds.
- Headlight On/Off: Press the red button for 1 second while the scooter is powered on.
- Gear Change (1st/2nd): Press the red button for 2 seconds. The display screen will switch from '1' for 1st gear to '2' for 2nd gear.
- Display: The console displays speed in MPH, battery life, and the current gear.
? RIDING TIPS
- Starting: Place one foot on the platform and one foot on the ground. Use the ground foot to push off while simultaneously pressing the throttle button to begin movement.
- Braking: Press the brake-throttle to slow down or stop. For quicker stopping, step on the rear fender foot brake.
- Surface: The scooter performs best on smooth surfaces like carparks, smooth roads, footpaths, and bike lanes.
- Maintenance: Always clean your scooter (wheels, platform, etc.). It is a machine and requires maintenance.
- Throttle Use: Do not press the throttle while walking with the scooter beside you.
- Terrain Awareness: Be aware of the terrain you are riding on; watch out for curbs and obstacles!
- Gears: Use the red button to change gears. Cycle through them according to terrain and elevation. First gear provides more torque for uphill climbs, while second gear offers more speed for straightaways.
- Cruise Control: To activate, press the right-hand throttle down for 10 seconds. To deactivate, press either the right-hand throttle or brake button.
- CAUTION - Electro-Magnetic Brake: The left paddle control activates the motor's electro-magnetic brake. This brake is energized by motor operation and will NOT be 100% effective until the motor has been in operation for 30 seconds.
↩️ PUTTING YOUR SCOOTER AWAY/FOLDING
Before folding, ensure the scooter is powered off and remove the safety pin. Pull the Tiller towards the back wheel. Insert the hook on the tiller into the loop on the rear fender buckle. You may hear a click, indicating successful folding and locking.
? MAINTENANCE & REPAIR
If you regularly clean and maintain your electric scooter, it will extend its life.
- Cleaning and Storage: If the scooter is dirty, wipe it clean with a soft damp cloth.
- Brake Adjustments & Service: If brake adjustments or service are needed, contact the customer service team. Do not attempt to repair the scooter yourself, as this can void the warranty and risk damage.
- Tires: If tire pressure is low, fill to the recommended PSI on the side of the tire. Recommended PSI: 50.
Cleaning Agents: DO NOT use alcohol, gasoline, kerosene, or other corrosive chemical solvents. They can severely damage the scooter's appearance and structure. Do not use a pressure washer, as it may also damage electronics.
Storage: When not in use, store the scooter in a dry and cool location. Avoid storing outdoors, as sun exposure can damage appearance and wear down the battery and tires.
Tightening the Tiller: If the tiller is loose or wiggles while riding, tighten the screws. Open the plastic cover and use the Allen wrench to tighten the screws.
? SAFETY LOCK INSTRUCTIONS
- Unfolding: Lift the tiller to the upright position and insert the safety lock. Rotate the safety lock clockwise to tighten it before riding.
- Folding: Rotate the Safety Lock counterclockwise to pull out the safety lock. Fold the scooter, then insert the safety lock and rotate clockwise to lock it again.
Description of mechanism: The safety lock hole is located next to the red lever at the bottom of the scooter. The safety pin is inserted into this hole and twisted to secure.
? BATTERY INFORMATION
- Charging: Only use the approved Gotrax power adapter. Others may cause fire risk or equipment damage.
- Disposal: Improper disposal of used batteries can seriously pollute the environment. Please comply with local disposal regulations.
- Storage Conditions: Store the scooter and power adapter in conditions between -4°F and 122°F (-20°C to 50°C).
- Warning: Risk of Fire - No User Serviceable Parts. Prolonged exposure to UV rays, rain, and elements may damage enclosed materials. Store indoors when not in use.
