Preface

Thank you for choosing the high-definition professional BOBLOV body camera. This manual explains how to use the KJ21 model and provides detailed information, including instructions on use, operation, and installation, as well as technical specifications. Please read this manual carefully to understand it before use and keep it for long-term reference.

Format the TF Card

This camera supports memory expansion up to 128GB. Please insert and format the TF card before you start to use it.

The device can format a TF card directly. If you insert a card with an incorrect format, the device will display a reminder: "Format the card".

Selecting "Yes" will format the card, deleting all data. Please ensure you have backed up any important data from the card before proceeding. Selecting "Yes" will then make the camera operational. It is very important to ensure that data is saved, or the files will be deleted.

Selecting "No" will return to the "Format card" page. This is normal. Once the card is formatted, the device can begin to work.

Button Operation Statement

4.1 Power/Screen On/Off Button [Power Button]: Long press to boot the device. When powered on, short press to turn the screen off/on, or long press to power off the device.

4.2 Audio Record Button [Audio Record Button]: When the device is powered on, short press to record audio. Press again to stop recording and save the audio file.

4.3 Video Record Button [Video Record Button]: When the device is powered on, short press to record video. Press again to stop recording and save the video file.

4.4 Photo Button [Photo Button]: When the device is powered on, short press to take a photo and save.

4.5 File Protection Button [File Protection Button]: When recording video, short press to mark the video. A yellow "A" symbol will appear on the screen. Short press again to cancel the mark. Marked video files will have a yellow "A" symbol in their filename during playback. Locked videos are protected from being overwritten by loop recording.

4.6 Light Button [Light Button]: When powered on, short press to turn on white light. Press a second time for white light flash. Press a third time to turn off white light. Long press to turn on infrared night vision light. Long press again to turn off infrared night vision light.

4.7 Menu Button/Return Button [Menu/Return Button]: Short press to enter or exit the menu. On menu or playback pages, short press to exit.

4.8 Up Button/Left Button [Up/Left Button]:

4.10 Playback/Confirm Button [OK/Playback Button]: When the device is powered on, short press to enter the playback page. On menu or playback pages, short press to confirm or enter the current selection.

4.11 Reset Button [Reset Button]: If the device crashes or stops due to improper operation or other special reasons, press this button to reset the device.

Basic Function Operation

6.1 Power On/ Power Off

Long press the [Power Button] to boot. When the device is powered on, short press the button to turn the screen off/on, or long press to power off the device.

Screen Statement:

(Red [●] indicates ordinary recording, Blue [●] indicates pre-recording)

6.2 Screen Protection / Power Saving Feature

  1. Screen protection feature: If there is no operation within 60 seconds (default), the device will automatically turn off the screen to protect it. This feature can be set to 30 seconds or off.
  2. Power saving feature: If there is no operation within 5 minutes (default), the device will automatically power off to save power. This feature can be set to 1 minute, 3 minutes, or off.

6.3 System Setting

Short press the [Menu/Return Button] to enter the menu page.

Menu Options:

1. Use the [Up/Down/OK Buttons] to select an option and confirm.

2. Short press the [Menu/Return Button] to exit the menu page.

6.4 Auxiliary light Infrared(IR)

Night vision light: Long press the [Light Button] to turn on infrared night vision light. Long press the button again to turn off infrared night vision light. This function can be set to auto.

When the device is powered on, short press the [Light Button] to turn on white light. Short press a second time for white light to flash. Short press a third time to turn off white light.

6.5 Take photos

  1. Single shot: When the device is powered on, short press the [Photo Button] once. The red light flashes once, and one photo is taken. Photo files are named after the date and time and saved in JPG format.
  2. Multiple shots: If Photo Burst Mode is set to 3P/5P/10P, when the device is powered on, short press the [Photo Button] once. The red light flashes once, and 3/5/10 photos are taken. Photo files are named after the date and time and saved in JPG format.
  3. Snapshot: During video recording, short press the [Photo Button] to take one photo. Photo files are named after the date and time and saved in JPG format. Multiple shots are also available.

6.6 Video Recording

  1. When the device is powered on, short press the [Video Record Button] to record a video. During recording, a red dot is displayed on the screen. Press the button again to stop recording and save. Video files are named after the date and time and saved in MP4 format.
  2. Motion Detection: If motion detection is enabled, the device will enter a 7-second countdown. Recording starts if a moving object is detected; otherwise, the device stops recording in 10 seconds.
  3. Pre-Record: If Pre-record is enabled and the [Photo Button] is long-pressed, the device will start to pre-record. A blue flashing dot will be displayed on the screen. This feature allows recording an extra minute of video before recording starts.
  4. Post-Record: If Post-Record is set to 5s/30s/1min/5min, the device will record an extra 5s/30s/1min/5min video after recording stops.
  5. Video Sound: If Video Sound is set to OFF, the device will record videos without sound.
  6. Stealth Mode: If Stealth mode is set to ON, the device will disable all sound and light during video recording, audio recording, and photographing.
  7. Car Dash Cam Mode: If Car Dash Cam Mode is set to ON, the device will start recording automatically when connected to a USB power supply.

6.7 Audio Recording

  1. This device can record audio independently. When powered on, short press the [Audio Record Button] to record audio. Press again to stop recording and save. Audio files are named after the date and time and saved in MP3 format.

6.8 Loop Recording

If loop recording is enabled, when storage is full, the device will continue recording by overwriting old data. (Note: This action will not overwrite videos that are protected, see section 2.5.)

6.9 Files view / Playback

When the device is powered on, short press the [OK/Playback Button] to enter the Files view/Playback page. Short press the [OK/Playback Button] to view or play files, or short press the [Menu/Return Button] to exit the Files view/Playback page.

Options include: [Video Icon], [Photo Icon], [Audio Icon].

6.10 File Deletion

Files cannot be deleted directly from the device. Deletion is only possible by connecting the device to a computer.

6.11 Reset

When the device crashes or stops due to improper operation or other special reasons, please press the [Reset Button] to reset the device.

The reset button is a small recessed button, typically requiring a pin or paperclip to press.

6.12 Connect to Computer

Connect the device to a computer using the attached USB cable. Enter the password (default is 000000) to enter USB flash disk mode.

Back Clip Install

Follow these steps to install the back clip:

  1. Align the back clip with the mounting slot on the rear of the body camera.
  2. Slide the back clip into the slot until it clicks into place.

Attention: To avoid repeated assembly damage, please do not disassemble clips frequently.

Charging of Products

Low-power display: When the battery is too low, the power icon in the upper right of the display will flash. The device will also issue a prompt sound every 10 seconds and will automatically shut down after several minutes. Please charge the device in time to avoid damage to the battery.
