Preface

Thank you for choosing the BOBLOV product. This manual provides an introduction to the A22/A22P mini body camera, covering its functions, features, external structure, operation, and important caution items. Please read this user manual carefully before using the product and keep it for future reference.

Part 1 Structure Diagram

The device is a compact mini body camera. Its structure includes a lens, a screen, various buttons for operation, and ports for charging and data transfer. The design is ergonomic for wearable use.

Part 2 Basic Operation

Button Descriptions

7Reset Hole ?️Use a pin to reset the camera if it crashes.
8Menu Button ⚙️Long press to enter menu setting; Short press to switch the video/photo/playback mode.
9Return/ Screen Button ↩️/?️Short press to turn off screen display; In menu, short press to previous menu.
10TF card slot ?Insert a compatible card.

Note:

Please format the TF card on the camera first when first using or changing the card.

Formatting the TF Card

To format the TF card:

  1. Power on the camera (ensure it is not in video/audio recording state).
  2. Long press the ⚙️ button to enter the menu setting.
  3. Use the ➕ and ➖ buttons to select the "Format" option.
  4. Short press the ➕ and ➖ buttons to select "OK".
  5. Short press the ▶️/✔️ button to confirm.

A confirmation screen will appear, showing "All data will be deleted". Select "OK" to proceed with formatting.

2.1 Charging

Charge the camera using the standard USB cable. It can be charged correctly by connecting it to your charger or a working computer, regardless of whether the device is on or off.

When connected to power, the camera will automatically power on, indicated by a steady red light ?. After a full charge of approximately 3 hours, the indicator light will turn solid green ?.

Note:

It is normal for the device to feel warm during charging. The screen will display a text prompt when the battery is low, indicating the need to charge. If the A22 mini camera is left idle for an extended period, please charge it every 3 months.

2.2 Power On/Off

In the power-off state, push and hold the ⚡/▶️ button for 3 seconds to turn on the recorder. It will then enter the standby mode for real-time monitoring. To turn off the device, push and hold the power button for 3 seconds while in standby mode.

2.3 Take Photo

Press the ⚙️ button to switch to the photo preview interface. Then, press the ▶️/✔️ button to take photos. The camera cannot take snapshots while recording video.

2.4 Video Recording

Method 1:

In the power-off state, slide the ⚡/▶️ button up to power on the device and start video recording. The blue indicator light ? will flash. Then, push the button down to a middle position to save the current file and stop video recording. The blue indicator ? will go off, and the interface will return to the video playback screen.

Method 2:

From the standby preview interface, slide the ⚡/▶️ button up to start video recording. The blue indicator light ? will flash. While recording, push the button down to a middle position to save the current file and stop video recording. The blue indicator ? will go off, and the interface will return to the video playback screen.

The screen display in video mode shows the following information:

2.5 Audio Recording

Method 1:

In the power-off state, push up the ⬆️/⬇️ button to power on the device and start audio recording. The blue indicator light ? will flash. Push the button down to save the current file and stop audio recording. The indicator light ? will go off, and the interface will go to the audio file page.

Method 2:

In the standby preview interface, push the ⬆️/⬇️ button up to start audio recording. The blue indicator light ? will flash. Push the button down to save the current file and stop audio recording. The indicator light ? will go off, and the interface will go to the audio file page.

2.6 Night Vision (Optional)

A22 Model: In standby, video, or photo mode, short press the ➕ "Volume+" button to manually switch to night vision mode. Press it again to return the image to color.

A22P Model: This model does not support the Night Vision feature. The IR filter has been removed, and night vision is disabled to ensure stable image color, addressing feedback about a pink/purple image in certain lighting conditions for the A22 model.

2.7 LCD Off Mode / Auto Power Off

This device features a power-saving mode. By default, it automatically enters LCD Off mode after 5 minutes of inactivity. A short press of any key will wake up the screen. The "LCD Off" duration can be set in the menu to 1 minute, 2 minutes, 3 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, or off.

Additionally, a short press of the ↩️/?️ button can turn off the screen display in any status, except when in the menu settings. A short press of any button will light up the display again.

When on standby, the device will shut down automatically after a set time. The "Auto power off" duration can be configured in the menu to 1 minute, 3 minutes, or off.

2.8 Files View / Playback

To view files, power on the camera and short press the ⚙️ button to switch to playback mode. Use the ➕ and ➖ buttons to select the desired file. Press the ▶️/✔️ button to play the file, and short press it again to pause. A short press of the ⚙️ button can return to the previous menu or exit playback mode.

While playing, the ➕ and ➖ buttons can adjust the volume.

2.9 File Delete/Protection

Methods to delete the recorded files:

Method 1: Deletion from the camera

In playback mode (short press ⚙️ to enter playback when standby), use the ➕ and ➖ buttons to select the file to be deleted. Long press the ⚙️ button to access the "Delete" and "Protect" options. Press the ➕ and ➖ buttons to confirm the "Delete Current" or "Delete All" choice, and press the ▶️/✔️ button to choose "OK" to delete the files.

Note:

Files marked as protected cannot be deleted. They can be deleted after unlocking.

Method 2: Deletion from the PC side

Connect the camera to the computer. Press the ➕ and ➖ buttons to select "Mass Storage" on the camera and press the ▶️/✔️ button to confirm. The camera will appear as a disk drive on your computer. You can then copy or delete recorded files directly from your PC.

File Protection

Note:

The lock/protect option is only valid for VIDEO files.

In playback mode (short press ⚙️ to enter playback when standby), use the ➕ and ➖ buttons to select the video file to be protected. Long press the ⚙️ button to access the protection options. Press the ➕ and ➖ buttons to confirm the "Protect" choice, and press the ▶️/✔️ button to confirm "Lock Current" or "Lock All", then press ▶️/✔️ to save.

2.10 File Transfer/ Connect Computer

Connect the camera to your computer using the standard USB cable. Press the ➕ and ➖ buttons to select options if prompted, and press the ▶️/✔️ button to confirm.

When the recorder displays "Mass Storage", it indicates successful connection to the computer, and the camera disk can be accessed.

Video files, photo files, and audio files are stored in the DCIM folder.

2.11 Reset

If the camera crashes or stops working, you can perform a reset by inserting a pin or thimble into the reset hole ?️. Be careful not to use excessive force. The device will automatically shut down after the reset. It can be restarted by sliding down and holding the ⚡/▶️ button for a few seconds.

Part 3 Indicator Light

The indicator light can be turned off via the menu setting.

This device provides two alarm prompts for abnormal conditions:

Part 5 Image Rotation Function

The mini camera lens supports 180 degrees of manual rotation. An "Image Rotation" option is available in the menu settings, which is "Off" by default.

Circumstance 1:

When the lens is on the side of the back clip, and the "Image Rotation" option in the menu setting is "Off", the image direction is correct.

Circumstance 2:

When the lens is on the side of the screen, the image may appear flipped. To correct this, enter the menu setting and set the "Image Rotation" option to "On". The image will then display in the correct direction.

If the preview image or recording image is flipped / upside down:

Method 1: Please manually rotate the camera lens 180 degrees to check whether the image direction is corrected.

Method 2: Enter the menu setting and turn the "Image Rotation" function to "On".

Part 6 System Setting/ Menu List

After powering on the device or in standby mode, long press the ⚙️ button to enter the menu setting. Use the ➕ and ➖ buttons to select options for changes, then press the ▶️/✔️ button to confirm.

Part 8 Troubleshooting

Q: Can't turn on or camera crashes, no response to keystrokes?

A: 1. Please charge it for at least half an hour then turn it on.

2. Press the Reset button ?️ once, then restart.

Q: Black screen appears after powering on.

A: 1. The screen may have entered the power-saving mode after pressing the return button ↩️/?️ mistakenly. Press any button again to light up the screen display.

2. Press the Reset button ?️ once then restart the camera.

3. Check whether the "LCD Off" option is turned on in the menu. If you want the display to be always on, please enter the menu to set the "LCD Off" option to "Off". The "LCD Off" option can be set to off/1 min/2 min/3min/ 5 min/10min.

4. If the issue remains, the display screen might be defective. Contact after-sales service.

Q: Incorrect system date and time.

A: Set your date and time again in the menu settings. Long press the ⚙️ button to enter the menu setting, press the ➕ and ➖ buttons to find "Date/Time", press the ▶️/✔️ button to enter, press the ➕ and ➖ buttons to change, then press the ▶️/✔️ button to confirm.

Q: The computer prompts "Please reconnect the device." / The camera disk can't be recognized by the computer.

A: 1. Use another compatible USB cable to try again.

2. Check whether the camera USB interface or computer USB port is damaged.

3. If the issue remains, contact after-sales service.

Q: The screen displays red color.

A: 1. Please press the ➖ button twice to reset the lens.

2. The lens of the device may be malfunctioning. Contact after-sales service.

Q: A video or audio cannot be played? Or no sound for videos?

A: Turn the volume to the loudest setting on the camera to check if the sound plays normally with the camera itself. It is recommended to play videos/audio on a VCL media player on your computer.

Q: The preview image or recording image is flipped / upside down:

A: 1. Please manually rotate the camera lens 180 degrees.

2. Enter the menu setting to turn on the "Image Rotation" function to "On".
