Troubleshooting

If your receiver is not functioning correctly, consult the following:

No Power / Display

Problem: LED indicator and LCD display do not turn on.

Possible Cause: Power cord disconnected; power adapter not connected or 12V plug improperly inserted.

Solution: Check adapter connection to mains and ensure it has power. Verify the 12V plug is securely inserted into the receiver.

No Signal

Problem: No signal.

Possible Cause: Antenna disconnected, damaged, or not properly connected; signal area issues; active antenna requires power; external power needed.

Solution: Check antenna cable and connections. Consult seller for antenna advice. Enable antenna power in receiver settings if applicable. Check for external power requirements.

No Picture or Sound

Problem: No picture or sound on TV/receiver.

Possible Cause: HDMI or SCART input not selected on TV; TV resolution too high for receiver; TV/receiver not powered on.

Solution: Select correct TV input. Try a lower resolution on the receiver. Ensure TV and receiver are powered on.

Message: Channel is Encrypted

Problem: Channel is encrypted.

Solution: Select a different channel. This model may not support encrypted channels.

No Remote Control Response

Problem: Remote control is unresponsive.

Possible Cause: Receiver in standby; remote not aimed correctly; front panel locked; remote batteries depleted.

Solution: Ensure receiver is on. Aim remote directly at the receiver. Check for front panel lock. Replace remote batteries.

Forgot PIN / Channel Lock Code

Problem: Forgotten PIN or channel lock code.

Solution: Default PIN is 0000. Contact STRONG support if you cannot reset it.

Cannot Receive Digital Signal in New Location

Problem: Poor or no digital reception after moving the receiver.

Possible Cause: Weak antenna signal; indoor antenna signal strength lower than outdoor; active antenna requires power.

Solution: Press INFO three times to display signal strength bars and adjust antenna. Rescan channels. Check active antenna power. Consider using an outdoor antenna.

Receiver Turns Off Automatically

Problem: Receiver turns off automatically.

Possible Cause: Auto Standby function is enabled.

Solution: Disable Auto Standby in settings (Section 7.3.9).

Video Playback Issues (Freezing, Artifacts)

Problem: Video playback (or Timeshift) freezes or shows artifacts, especially with HD content.

Possible Cause: USB device read/write speed is too low.

Solution: Ensure the USB storage device has sufficient space and a high enough write speed. Some pendrives may not meet the required speed.
