STRONG SRT 8215 Digital Terrestrial HD Receiver

This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the STRONG SRT 8215 Digital Terrestrial HD Receiver.

Introduction

General Safety Precautions

Do not operate the receiver in enclosed or poorly ventilated cabinets, or on or under other devices where ventilation slots are covered. Avoid exposing the receiver to direct sunlight, heat-radiating devices, rain, high humidity, strong vibrations, heavy impacts, or magnetic objects like speakers. Do not use a damaged power cord. Clean the receiver with a soft, slightly damp cloth and mild soap solution; ensure no foreign objects or liquids enter the ventilation slots. Do not place objects on the receiver, as this may obstruct cooling. Never open the receiver casing; this voids the warranty and may expose you to dangerous voltages. Disconnect the receiver from the power supply before connecting or disconnecting cables. Wait a few seconds after switching off before moving the unit or connecting other devices. In case of thunderstorms, unplug the power and disconnect the antenna. Use only appropriately rated extension cords. Ensure your local mains voltage matches the receiver's rating. If the receiver malfunctions, contact your dealer.

Storage

The receiver has been carefully checked and packed for shipping. Upon unpacking, verify all accessories are present. Keep packaging away from children. Retain the original packaging for warranty purposes, as it provides optimal protection for shipping.

The USB port supports storage devices like USB sticks or external hard drives (max 500mA output). USB 2.0 or higher is recommended for optimal playback of video files and HD movies. Note: Recording and Timeshift functions may not be available in all regions.

Connecting to Ethernet for RSS Feeds and Weather Forecasts

Connect the receiver to your router using an Ethernet (RJ45) cable (CAT5E or higher) to access RSS feeds and weather information.

Connecting to the Power Supply

After all connections are made, connect the receiver to the power adapter and then to the mains socket.

Connecting to a Home Entertainment System

For enhanced audio quality, connect the receiver's HDMI output to a compatible digital amplifier or home cinema system's HDMI input. Then, connect the amplifier's HDMI output to your TV. Ensure the correct input is selected on your amplifier.
