Installation Site and Environment

Diagrams illustrate acceptable installation orientations for RVs and vehicles, emphasizing 90° angles. Environmental parameters are specified: Altitude (≤5000m), Temperature (-4°F to 158°F / -20°C to 70°C), and Humidity (0% to 95%). Icons indicate conditions: Keep Dry ✔️, Fragile ⚠️, Indoor ✔️.

Note

For the RV leveling function, the screen must point to the front, rear, left, or right side of the RV, vertically to the floor. RV leveling blocks are recommended during the leveling process.

Required Tools

  • Phillips Screwdriver (#1)
  • Insulation Tape
  • Skill Saw
  • Impact Drill with Hole Saw (2.17in/55mm)

Note

Tools are required only for flush mounting on a wall. A skill saw or electric drill with a hole saw can be used.

Step 1 (A). Place Renogy ONE Core on a Table

Illustration shows the Renogy ONE Core being placed on its package box, which serves as a temporary bracket for setup when wall mounting is not required.

Note

The RV leveling function is unavailable when the Core is placed on a table.

Mounting Template

A printable mounting template is provided, measuring 2.17 inches (55mm) square, with a central circular cutout area. Instructions state: 'Please tear off this piece of paper and paste it to the mounting location for drilling holes.'

Step 1 (B). Mount Renogy ONE Core on a Wall

Note

Another piece of paper can be used as a mounting template. The installation hole size is 2.17in x 2.17in (55mm x 55mm).

Steps illustrate using the mounting template to mark drilling points on the wall, identifying a 'Yellow Area' and a 'Blue Area' on the template for precise hole placement.

Detailed steps show attaching a mounting bracket to the wall using screws, connecting necessary cables, and then aligning and snapping the Renogy ONE Core device onto the bracket at a 45° angle until it clicks securely.

Step 2. Connect Renogy ONE Core to a Power Supply

Illustrations show how to connect the Renogy ONE Core to a power source. For wall mounting, connect the included power cable to the DC Power input (8-60V) or a Battery Combiner Box. For table mounting, use the included power cable or an optional Type-C cable (5V, DC).

Note

When installing the power cable, always connect the negative terminal first, then the positive terminal.

Step 3. Install a Communication Cable (Optional)

Connect an RJ45 Ethernet cable (maximum length 6m) from the Renogy ONE Core to a HUB, which then connects to RS-485 devices for communication.

Step 4. Power On/Off

Long press the On/Off Button for approximately 5 seconds to power the Core on or off.

Step 5. Pairing with DC Home

For initial startup, follow the on-screen wizard or navigate to '> System > Pair with App' on the Core. A QR code displayed on the Core's screen is scanned by the DC Home mobile app to pair the devices.

Step 6. Add Devices

The Renogy ONE Core supports concurrent connection to Bluetooth, Bluetooth mesh, and Zigbee Renogy devices. The interface allows users to 'Add Devices', listing types such as Controllers, Batteries, Smart Plugs, Inverters, and Door Sensors. Internet connectivity is also indicated.

RV Leveling

The device interface displays the 'RV Leveling' function. Users can configure 'Installation Orientation', such as 'Screen currently facing rear'.

Note

RV leveling calibration is required each time the installation site for the Core is changed.
