Sonoff 4CH Pro (R2) User Guide

Welcome to using the Sonoff 4CH Pro! The Sonoff 4CH Pro is a 4-channel DIN rail mounting 433 MHz RF remote WiFi switch that allows independent control of four home appliances. It supports switching between three working modes: inching, interlock, and self-locking modes.

Power Supply: 90-250V AC (50/60Hz) / 5-24V DC.
Max Current: 10A per gang.

1. Download the "eWeLink" App

Search for "eWeLink" in the App Store for iOS or Google Play for Android.

2. Wiring Instructions

Follow the wiring diagram below to connect the Sonoff 4CH Pro with lights or appliances.

On-Board Components Overview

The device can be powered by 5-24V DC or 90-250V AC. Each relay has no voltage output.

AC Motor Wiring Diagram

Note: Only one motor can run at a time.

Input AC 90-250V connected to L and N terminals. Two motors are connected to the relay outputs.

DC Motor Wiring Diagram

Note: Only one motor can run at a time.

Input 5-24V DC connected to the DC input terminals. Two motors are connected to the relay outputs.

3. Add Device

  1. Power up your device using either 90-250V AC or 5-24V DC.
  2. Press and hold one of the 4 switch buttons for 7 seconds until the WiFi LED blinks rapidly three times and repeats.
  3. Tap the "+" icon in the eWeLink app to search for the device. Select the corresponding pairing icon and tap "Next".
  4. The app will automatically search for the device.
  5. Enter your home WiFi SSID and password. (Note: eWeLink currently only supports the 2.4G WiFi communication protocol; 5G WiFi routers are not supported. If your WiFi has no password, leave the field blank.)
  6. Wait for the device to be registered by eWeLink and added to your account (this may take 1-3 minutes). The app will show "searching device...".
  7. Name the device to complete the process.
  8. The device might appear "Offline" initially. It requires about 1 minute to connect to your router and the server. The device is "Online" when the WiFi LED is solid.

3. Working Mode Settings

You can configure the switch to operate in three modes: inching, interlock, or self-locking.

Self-locking Mode

In self-locking mode, you can turn the four connected devices on or off independently. For example, turning on CH1 keeps the connected device on, and turning off CH2 keeps the connected device off.

Inching Mode

In inching mode, devices can be turned on for a set duration (1-16 seconds) and then automatically turn off. For example, turning on CH1 for 1 second will result in it automatically turning off.

Interlock Mode

In interlock mode, only one device can be turned on at a time. Turning on another device will automatically turn off the previously active one. For example, if CH2 is on, turning on CH3 will automatically turn off CH2.

Switching Between Modes

Caution: Always disconnect the power supply before changing the positions of switches S5, S6, K5, and K6.

Switch S6: Interlock / Self-locking & Inching Mode Selector

Note: If S6 is set to '0' (Interlock Mode), the settings for K5 are invalid.

Switches K5: Inching/Self-locking Channel Selectors

These switches (labeled 1, 2, 3, 4 corresponding to CH1, CH2, CH3, CH4) determine the mode for each channel when S6 is in Self-locking/Inching mode.

Switch K6: Inching Delay Time Selector

These switches (labeled 1, 2, 3, 4 corresponding to CH1, CH2, CH3, CH4) set the delay time for inching mode. Refer to the table below:

Delay Time Switch K6 (Binary Representation) Delay Time Applies to
0000 16s CH1 to CH4
0001 15s CH1 to CH4
0010 14s CH1 to CH4
0011 13s CH1 to CH4
0100 12s CH1 to CH4

4. RF Remote Settings

Learn with 433 MHz RF Remote

Each channel supports one RF key. To learn a key, quickly press twice one of the switches below the device, then press one of the ABCD buttons on your RF remote. A successful pairing is indicated by the button lighting up red and the corresponding status LED blinking green four times.

Clear 433MHz Coding

Press and hold the S5 button (433 MHz code clearing button) until all 4 LEDs light up green and then turn off.

5. App Features

  1. Remote Control: Use WiFi to control the 4 devices separately. Tap the device icon to turn it on/off. The device status is displayed on the interface.
  2. Share Control: The owner can share devices with other eWeLink accounts. Both accounts must be online for the invitation to be sent and accepted. To share, tap "Share", input the eWeLink account (phone number or email), select permissions, and tap "Next". The recipient will receive an invitation.
  3. Timing: Set up to 8 scheduled timers (single, repeat, or countdown) to automatically turn connected appliances on or off.
  4. Scene: Create scenes or smart scenes to trigger the on/off state of your Sonoff 4CH Pro devices automatically. Configure scenes by selecting "Click to execute" as a condition, adding existing devices, naming the scene, and saving it.

4. Problems and Solutions

Refer to the Itead Smart Home Forum for detailed FAQs. If your issue is not resolved here, please submit feedback via eWeLink.

  1. Device Stays "Offline" After Successful Addition:
    • The device requires 1-2 minutes to connect to your router and the internet after initial addition.
    • WiFi LED Status:
    • Quickly blinks once and repeats: Failed to connect to the router. Check WiFi password, ensure the device is within router range, and verify you are using a 2.4GHz network (5GHz is not supported). Ensure your router's MAC filtering is not blocking the device.
    • Slowly blinks once and repeats: Connected to router and server but failed to be added to the device list. Power cycle the device; if the issue persists, try adding it again.
    • Quickly blinks twice and repeats: Connected to the router but failed to connect to the server. Verify your WiFi router is functioning correctly.
  2. APP Cannot Find Device in Pairing Status: Clear your phone's WLAN cache by turning off WLAN, waiting a minute, and turning it back on. Power cycle the Sonoff device and try pairing again.
  3. WiFi Expired - LAN Connection: This product does not support LAN or direct hotspot connection. It requires a stable internet connection via a WiFi router.
  4. WiFi LED Off, Device Unresponsive: The circuit may be broken. Contact support or consider returning the device for testing. Note that return shipping and potential repair costs may be the buyer's responsibility if damage is user-caused.
