Definitions
- Master Code: Required for programming and feature settings. Can be used to unlock the door under vacation mode. The default master code must be changed before programming. Property owner & manager should keep this information confidential.
- Auto Lock: Automatically locks the deadbolt 30 seconds after unlocking. This feature is off by default. The Auto Lock time delay can be customized between 10 and 99 seconds.
- Key Unlock: Always available when batteries are dead or user codes are forgotten.
- Low Battery Indicator: 10 beeps with 10 red light flashes after pressing any key to lock or unlock indicates the need for battery replacement. Replace with 4 brand new AA alkaline batteries. Do not mix used and new batteries. All settings are stored when batteries are removed and replaced.
- Wrong Entry Limit: After 10 unsuccessful attempts at entering an invalid PIN code, the unit will shut down for 3 minutes.
- Silent Mode: Mutes beep sounds when pressing the keypad, but low battery and system alerts are still audible.
- Vacation Mode: A security feature for when leaving home for vacation or a long trip. Enabling vacation mode restricts all user codes until the master code is entered. If the lock is unlocked by the thumb turn from the inside, an alarm will sound.
- One Time User Code: Can be used only once and is automatically deleted after use.
- Unlock with Fake code: Prevents pin code exposure by entering random digits before or after the pin code. Example: 83618 137192 14710.
Code Format
- Master Code: 4 to 10 digits. The default Master Code is 12345678. Change it before programming.
- User Code: 20 User Codes (4-10 digits), 1 one-time User Code can be programmed.
- Invalid Combinations: Master Code and User Code do not support the following:
- Forward number sequence (e.g., 12345678)
- Backward number sequence (e.g., 98765432)
- Repeat number sequence (e.g., 22222222)
- Containing existing code sequence (e.g., if 5683 is a code, then 568391 is invalid)

STEP 1: Prepare the door and check dimensions
- A: Measure the hole in the door: 2-1/8" (54mm). Measure the hole in the door edge: 1" (25mm).
- B: Measure the backset: 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" (60mm or 70mm).
- C: Measure door thickness: 1-3/8" to 2" (35mm to 50mm).
- D: Ensure the hole in the door frame is drilled a minimum of 1" (25mm) deep.
STEP 2: Install the latch and strike
- A: Determine backset and adjust the latch:
- Hold the latch in front of the door hole. If the slotted hole is centered, proceed to the next step.
- If the slotted hole is not centered, rotate and pull the latch to extend it.
- B: Install the latch: Insert the latch into the door hole and secure with Latch Screws (I). If needed, use the Drive-In Collar (M).
- C: Test the deadbolt: Use a screwdriver to ensure the deadbolt works smoothly.
- D: Install strike on the door frame: Ensure the hole in the door frame is at least 1" (25mm) deep. Secure the strike with Strike Screws (H). Use the Reinforcement Plate (D-1) if necessary.
STEP 3: Install exterior assembly
- IMPORTANT: Before installation, ensure the latch is fully retracted (unlocked position).
- A: With the latch retracted, route the cable below the latch and insert the torque blade through the slot in the latch.
- B: Secure the mounting plate with the supplied screws (J). Keep parallel to the door edge. Do not overtighten screws.
STEP 4: Install interior assembly
- A: Push the battery cover outwards.
- B: Insert the cable connector to the socket and push firmly until completely attached.
- C: Keep the thumb turn in a vertical position and install the interior assembly.
- D: Attach the Interior Assembly to the Mounting Plate and tighten the Interior Assembly Screws (K).
STEP 5: Detect left/right hand door installation
- IMPORTANT: This step is required and crucial for the lock to operate properly. Reset the lock to teach it the door orientation.
- A: While the door is OPEN and UNLOCKED, load 3 AA batteries into the battery compartment. Use new, non-rechargeable Alkaline batteries only.
- B: Press and hold the Reset button on the interior assembly using the reset tool.
- C: Load the 4th battery and continue holding the reset button for 3 seconds, until you hear a "beep". The latch bolt will extend to learn the door orientation automatically.

Troubleshooting
- Why does not the latch extend but the motor is rotating when resetting my lock?
Improper installation may be the cause. Review:
- Ensure the latch and strike are aligned.
- Slightly loosen mounting screws on the external assembly keypad and latch bolt if over-tightened.
- Open the door and reset the lock.
- Why does not the latch extend and the motor isn't rotating when resetting my lock?
The deadbolt latch should be retracted (unlocked) throughout installation. The thumb turn should be vertical during installation steps 4C and 5A. Open the door and reset the lock.
- When I attempt to lock/unlock my deadbolt, why does the latch go in and out for a few times?
This happens when the latch and strike are misaligned. Ensure the bolt hole on the door frame is at least 1 inch deep for full bolt extension. Check that the door closes properly and the deadbolt aligns with the strike or door frame hole without obstruction.
- Why does my lock only work properly when the backup key is in? Why am I unable to pull the key out in the unlocked position?
Re-install the lock. Ensure the lock is in the unlocked status during installation. Verify the thumb turn is vertical. Do not insert the backup key during installation.
- What does 5 short and fast beeps mean while programming?
This indicates a timeout or wrong entry. Complete each setting step within 5 seconds. Change the default master code during the first programming. Ensure the user code is in the correct format (4 to 10 digits).
- What if I forget my Master Codes?
Resetting the lock will restore the original master code (12345678) and erase all previous user codes.
