TEEHO TZ001 Keypad Door Lock Installation Instructions

Before Installing the Lock, Check Door Jamb and Door Preparation

Ensure the door thickness is between 1-3/8" and 2" (35mm to 50mm).

Verify the backset is either 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" (60 mm or 70 mm).

Confirm the hole in the door is 2-1/8" (54mm).

Confirm the hole in the door jamb is 1" (25mm).

Installation Steps

Step 1: Prepare the door and check dimensions

Measure to confirm the door hole diameter (2-1/8" or 54mm) and backset (2-3/8" or 2-3/4" or 60mm or 70mm).

Measure to confirm the door thickness is between 1-3/8" and 2" (35mm to 50mm).

Measure to confirm the hole in the door jamb is 1" (25mm).

Step 2: Install latch and deadbolt

IMPORTANT: Keep the latch in the unlocked position before installation. Rotate and pull the latch to extend it.

Install the latch into the door edge. Ensure the latch is parallel to the door edge.

Secure the latch with the provided screws.

Step 3: Install exterior assembly

Route the cable below the latch. Route the cable through the hole in the mounting plate.

Secure the mounting plate with the supplied screws.

Attach the exterior assembly to the mounting plate.

Step 4: Install interior assembly

IMPORTANT: Bolt must be in the unlock position.

Connect the cable to the interior assembly, ensuring a tight connection.

Rotate the thumb turn to the vertical position and insert the horizontal orientation of the torque blade into the interior assembly lock switch.

Secure the interior assembly with the supplied screws.

Step 5: Detect left/right hand door installation

IMPORTANT: This step is required for the lock to function correctly after installation.

While the door is open and unlocked, load 3 AA batteries into the interior assembly. Use new, non-rechargeable alkaline batteries for best results.

Press and hold the reset button on the interior assembly using the reset tool. Keep holding the reset button until you hear a long "BEEP".

Load the last battery while still holding the reset button. Continue holding until you hear another long "BEEP". The lock will automatically go into the locking position. This allows the smart lock to memorize the door's orientation.

Step 6: Test the lock

Test the lock by rotating the thumb turn to ensure the bolt extends and retracts smoothly.
