ROLFSTORP LED Lighting
Important Safety Information
WARNING: Strangulation Hazard.
- NEVER place the cord within reach of a child in a cot or playpen.
- ALWAYS secure the cord to a wall or cabinet.
- Check regularly that the cord is securely fastened.
- Pull the cord to remove any slack between fasteners. Tie up any remaining slack cord between the driver and socket.
General Safety and Usage Warnings:
- Always remove batteries before storing the product.
- The light source in this luminaire is not replaceable. When the light source reaches its end of life, the entire luminaire must be replaced.
- ONLY use a safety transformer with a SELV (Safety Extra Low Voltage) output as a power supply for the product.
- Only use batteries that are intended for the product. Do not mix old and new batteries, or batteries of different brands or types.
- Batteries are sold separately. IKEA recommends LADDA rechargeable batteries (2450 mAh HR6 AA 1.2V). 3 pieces are required.
Installation and Operation
The ROLFSTORP LED lighting can be mounted using the included brackets and powered by either batteries or a USB connection.
Mounting the Fixture
Step 1: Attach the two mounting brackets to the underside of the ROLFSTORP light fixture. The diagrams show these brackets clipping onto the fixture.
Step 2: Position the light fixture. Ensure a minimum clearance of 8 cm (3 1/5 inches) from the mounting surface. The diagrams show the fixture being held in place against a wall or cabinet, with markings indicating where to attach it.
Step 3: Secure the fixture to the wall or cabinet using appropriate screws (not included). The diagrams show the fixture being pushed into place, with an indicator showing a push-to-lock mechanism.
Battery Installation
The fixture can be powered by 3x AA batteries.
Step 1: Locate and open the battery compartment cover on the fixture. The diagrams show a small cover that can be opened.
Step 2: Insert 3x AA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+ and -). The diagrams show the batteries being inserted into the compartment.
Step 3: Close the battery compartment cover securely.
USB Power Connection
The fixture can also be powered via a USB connection.
Step 1: Connect a USB cable (included) to a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a powered USB port on a computer or other device.
Step 2: Connect the other end of the USB cable to the port on the ROLFSTORP light fixture.
Operation
The ROLFSTORP light has an ON/OFF switch and can be controlled by touch.
Switching On/Off: Use the physical switch located on the fixture to turn it ON or OFF.
Touch Control:
- A short touch (approx. 0.5 seconds) cycles through brightness levels or modes.
- A longer press (approx. 1.5 seconds) may be used for dimming or other functions, as indicated by the diagrams.
Battery Life:
- With IKEA LADDA 2450mAh batteries, expect approximately 2 hours of use at the highest setting, 4 hours at a medium setting, and 12 hours at the lowest setting.
