FAQ’s
Both bookshelf speakers should be situated two to three feet from the back wall and at an equal distance from the side walls for the best sound. The ideal listening spot in a room where the sound is most balanced is known as the “Sweet Spot” by audiophiles.
Bookshelf speakers can be used for more than simply music. For watching movies and TV shows, a pair of superb bookshelf speakers may produce vocal clarity and dynamics that are far superior to any TV’s built-in speakers. Many of our speaker suggestions also include a center speaker that is specifically made to reproduce dialogue.
Bookshelf speakers should not be placed on the ground; instead, they should be placed on a shelf, table, or other elevated surfaces. They are made with the intention of enhancing sound in tiny to medium-sized settings. Just like anything else, doing your research before deciding will pay off.
Yes. Although it’s not ideal, bookshelf speakers can be positioned on their side. It’s probable that this will have a detrimental effect on sound quality. While not ideal, horizontal positioning might be acceptable if your goal is casual listening.
Although a subwoofer is not necessary for speakers to work, it almost always makes sense to add one to a set of speakers, particularly smaller bookshelf speakers.
Additionally, utilizing an average ear height of between 91 and 96.5 centimeters (36 and 38 inches) is frequently just as acceptable as measuring the distance from your ears to the floor if more than one person will be listening to the speakers or if you frequently have guests around.
In a typical home theatre surround sound system, which already has a powerful subwoofer, bookshelf speakers are added. They can be utilized as fronts in addition to rears or surrounds for smaller systems (instead of floor-standing speakers).
The bookshelf speakers I installed in a wall cavity function very well indeed. They are far superior to any on-wall speaker I have heard, despite not being flawless. Although rear-ported speakers would be OK if you had enough room behind the speaker, front-ported speakers will be the best option.
Compared to the tiny speakers featured in a normal TV, soundbars typically offer better audio quality. They come in numerous configurations as well. While some soundbars just have two speakers, others have several speakers, including a subwoofer.
