Zircon support FAQ

Common questions about manuals, registration, and support for this brand.

  • How do I calibrate my Zircon stud finder?

Most Zircon stud finders utilize 'OneStep' technology. Place the tool flat against the wall, press and hold the power button, and wait for the beep or light indication that calibration is complete before moving the tool.

  • What does it mean if the lights flash and the tool beeps continuously?

This usually indicates a calibration error, often caused by starting the scan directly over a stud. Release the power button, move the scanner a few inches to the left or right, and try calibrating again.

  • What kind of batteries do Zircon tools require?

Most Zircon stud sensors and scanners utilize a standard 9V alkaline battery. Ensure you use a brand new battery with an extended expiration date for optimal performance.

  • Does the scanner detect live electrical wires?

Many Zircon models feature WireWarning® detection, which alerts users to the presence of live, unshielded AC wiring up to 2 inches (50 mm) deep behind the wall surface.
