To apply a firmware update, download the latest firmware from the Rotolight Support page to a USB 2.0 type A stick formatted to FAT32. With the light powered off, insert the USB stick. While holding down both control knobs, power on the unit and select 'YES' when the bootloader dialogue box appears.
Navigate to the 'SYS' menu on your light, select 'WiFi control', and choose 'APP CONTROL'. Wait roughly 20 seconds for the 'WiFi Ready' message to appear on the display, then open the Rotolight App, tap the '+' symbol, and scan the QR code on the light.
Rotolight fixtures feature integrated receivers that are compatible with Elinchrom Skyport, Godox, Profoto, and other wireless transmitters. Standard editions also allow wired third-party receivers via a 3.5mm flash sync socket.
