Maintenance
Battery Replacement:
The Casio AW48HE-1AV uses one SR920W battery, which provides approximately 3 years of operation. When the display becomes dim or the watch stops functioning, it is time to replace the battery. Battery replacement should ideally be performed by a qualified watch technician to ensure proper sealing and water resistance.
Water Resistance:
This watch is rated for 50 meters (5 ATM) of water resistance. This means it is suitable for everyday use and can withstand splashes, rain, and brief immersion in water, such as during hand washing or short periods of recreational swimming. It is not suitable for showering, bathing, diving, or snorkeling. Avoid operating buttons while the watch is wet.
Cleaning:
Wipe the watch case and band with a soft, dry cloth. For resin bands, you can use a mild soap solution and rinse thoroughly, then dry completely. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the watch's finish or materials.
Troubleshooting
- Watch not keeping accurate time:
- Check if the battery needs replacement.
- Ensure the analog and digital times are set correctly.
- Avoid exposing the watch to strong magnetic fields.
- Digital display is blank or dim:
- The battery may be low or depleted. Replace the battery.
- Buttons are unresponsive:
- Ensure the watch is not wet when attempting to operate buttons.
- If the issue persists, a reset or professional inspection may be required.
- Water inside the watch:
- Immediately take the watch to a qualified service center. Do not attempt to open it yourself.
