Casio 5154 Operation Guide
General Guide
This guide explains the operation of the Casio 5154 watch. Use [Button B] to cycle through the different modes:
- Timekeeping Mode
- Date Indicator Mode
- Alarm Mode
- Stopwatch Mode
- Dual Time Mode
Each mode is detailed on the following pages.
Timekeeping Mode
This mode displays the current time and date.
To Set the Digital Time
Follow these steps to set the digital time and date:
- In the Timekeeping Mode, press and hold [Button C] until the seconds digits flash. The flashing indicates they are selected.
- Press [Button C] to cycle through the settings in the following sequence: Seconds [C] Hour [C] Minutes [C] 12/24-Hour Format.
- Press [Button B] to increase the selected digits. Holding down [Button B] changes the selection at high speed. When the 12/24-hour format is selected, press [Button B] to switch between the two formats.
- After setting the time and format, press [Button C] to return to the Timekeeping Mode screen.
Note: If no button is pressed for a few minutes while a selection is flashing, the watch will automatically return to the Timekeeping Mode screen.
To Set the Analog Time
To adjust the analog time:
- When in any mode, press [Button A] to advance the analog time setting.
- Holding down [Button A] advances the analog setting at high speed. The analog time can only be advanced, not reversed.
Date Indicator Mode
This mode allows you to view and set the date.
To Set the Date
Follow these steps to set the date:
- In the Date Indicator Mode, press and hold [Button C] until the month digits flash. The flashing indicates they are selected.
- Press [Button C] to cycle through the settings in the following sequence: Month [C] Day [C] Day of the week.
- Press [Button B] to increase the selected digits. While the day of the week is selected, pressing [Button B] advances to the next day of the week. Holding down [Button B] changes the current selection at high speed.
- After setting the date, press [Button C] to display the Date Indicator Mode screen.
Notes:
- The watch does not account for leap years. You must manually set February 29th when it occurs.
- If no button is pressed for a few minutes while a selection is flashing, the watch will automatically return to the Timekeeping Mode.
Alarm Mode
This mode allows you to set a daily alarm and an hourly time signal.
The Daily Alarm sounds for 20 seconds at the preset time each day. Press any button to stop it. The Hourly Time Signal beeps every hour on the hour. Both operate based on the digital time setting.
To Set the Alarm Time
Follow these steps to set the alarm time:
- In the Alarm Mode, press and hold [Button C] until the hour digits flash. The flashing indicates they are selected.
- Press [Button C] to cycle through the settings in the following sequence: Hour [C] Minutes (tens digit) [C] Minutes (ones digit) [C] Alarm/Hourly Time Signal setting.
- Press [Button B] to increase the selected digits. Holding down [Button B] changes the selection at high speed.
Notes:
- The alarm time format (12-hour or 24-hour) matches the format selected for digital timekeeping.
- When setting the alarm time in 12-hour format, ensure you correctly set AM (no indicator) or PM (PM indicator).
- If no button is pressed for a few minutes while a selection is flashing, the watch will automatically return to the Timekeeping Mode screen.
To Set the Alarm/Hourly Time Signal Status
While the Daily Alarm/Hourly Time Signal setting is selected:
- Press [Button B] to change the status in the following sequence: Both On [B] Both Off [B] Daily Alarm only [B] Hourly Time Signal only.
After configuring your alarm settings, press [Button C] to select the Alarm Mode.
To Test the Alarm
Hold down [Button B] in any mode to sound the alarm. Note that pressing [Button B] also changes the mode.
Dual Time Mode
The Dual Time function allows you to set a second digital time that operates independently of the current analog and digital times, enabling you to track time in another time zone.
To Set the Dual Time
Follow these steps to set the dual time:
- In the Dual Time Mode, press and hold [Button C] until the hour digits flash. The flashing indicates they are selected.
- Press [Button C] to cycle through the settings in the following sequence: Hour [C] Minutes [C] 12/24-Hour Format.
- Press [Button B] to increase the selected digits. Holding down [Button B] changes the selection at high speed. When the 12/24-hour format is selected, press [Button B] to switch between the two formats.
- After setting the time, press [Button C] to select the Dual Time Mode.
Note: If no button is pressed for a few minutes while a selection is flashing, the watch will automatically return to the Timekeeping Mode screen.
Stopwatch Mode
The Stopwatch Mode measures elapsed time and cumulative elapsed time. The range of the stopwatch is 59 minutes and 59.99 seconds.
To Measure Elapsed Time
- Press [Button C] to start the stopwatch.
- Press [Button C] to stop the stopwatch.
- Press and hold [Button C] until the stopwatch is cleared to "00:00 00".
To Measure Cumulative Elapsed Time
- Press [Button C] to start the stopwatch.
- Press [Button C] to stop the stopwatch.
- Press [Button C] again to resume timing from the time shown on the display. You can repeat steps 2 and 3 as many times as desired.
- Press and hold [Button C] until the stopwatch is cleared to "00:00 00".
Specifications
- Accuracy: ±30 seconds per month at normal temperature.
- Timekeeping Mode: Analog: Hour, minute. Digital: Hour, minutes, seconds, PM indicator. Time system: Switchable between 12-hour and 24-hour formats.

- Battery: One silver oxide battery (Type: SR920W).
- Battery Life: Approximately 3 years on Type SR920W (assuming alarm operation 20 seconds/day).
