CD PLAYER EVO SERIES
Introduction
Thank you for choosing an Atoll CD player, offering exceptional audiophile performance. Please read this manual carefully to maximize your experience.
Areas with a gray background in this manual pertain to functions available with the optional digital input board.
Included in the Box:
- A CD player.
- A remote control (with 2 Lithium CR2032 batteries).
- A power lead.
- A modulation interconnect cable.

Front Panel Controls and Connections
Connections:
- 1: Line outputs (Left (L) and Right (R) channels).
- 2: Coaxial output (connects to a D/A converter).
- 3: Optical output (connects to a D/A converter).
- 4: 12V Trigger output.
- 5: Mains socket.
- 6: ON/OFF power switch.
Optional Digital Board Connections:
- a: USB input (optional).
- b: Digital input (coaxial) (optional).
- c: Digital input (optical) (optional).
Front Panel Functions:
- 7: Previous track.
- 8: Next track.
- 9: Open/close disk tray.
- 10: Disk tray.
- 11: Play & Pause.
- 12: Stop (cancels all functions).
- 13: ON/STANDBY (cancels all functions).
Selection of Digital Inputs (Optional):
To use the digital inputs (USB, optical, or coaxial), press and hold key 13 on the front panel for two seconds. Use keys 7 and 8 to select the desired digital input.
Remote Control Functions
Keys 7 to 13 on the remote control perform the same functions as their counterparts on the front panel.
- 14) TIME: Displays the running time of each track. With one press, displays the remaining time of the current track.
- 15) CD - DAC: Selects digital inputs: COAX, OPT, USB using the Left & Right keys.
- 16) Rear fast search key: Fast search backward.
- 17) Forward fast search key: Fast search forward.
- 18) A-B repeat: Allows selection of a specific reading zone from point A to point B. While playing, press to start zone A, press again to select end B. The selected zone plays until the A-B key is pressed again.
- 19) REP (Repeat Mode):
- -- R1: Repeats the same track. Confirm by pressing ENTER. The display shows 'R1'.
- -- R: Repeats the complete disc. Confirm by pressing ENTER. The display shows 'R'.
STOP key (or keys 7 & 8 in R1 mode) cancels all REPEAT modes.
- 20) PROGRAM (PROG):
- Press PROG. The display shows the number of selected tracks (Nb 0) and track choice (Tr 1).
- Choose the first track using keys 7 & 8. Confirm by pressing PROG. Select all desired tracks using the same procedure.
- The display shows the number of tracks, 'P' symbol. Total program time is shown by pressing TIME. Press PLAY to start the programmed playback.
- Press twice to cancel the program.
- 21) SHUFFLE: Press SHUF. The display shows 'S'. All tracks play once in random mode. Press STOP to cancel random play.
- Combination: Program (PROG) can be combined with REPEAT (display shows 'RP') and SHUFFLE (display shows 'RS'). SHUFFLE and PROG menus are not available while reading the disc.
- 22) DISP: Allows the display to turn off.
CD-Text, USB Input, and Compatibility
CD-Text:
Some discs feature "CD-Text" displaying artist and track names, which are automatically read at the beginning of each track.
USB Input:
Your appliance is equipped with a High-Resolution asynchronous USB Input (Type B). To use it, download the appropriate driver from the Atoll website: https://www.atoll-electronique.com/en/xmos-specific-driver-usb/.
This driver is not required for MAC or Linux computers. For optimal transfer of High-Resolution files (24 bits/192 kHz), use a USB interconnect cable with ferrite.
Compatibility:
This player supports CD and CD-R discs. Playable formats include MP3, WMA, and AAC.

Cautions and Advises
Cautions:
- Do not make any connections while the device is powered on.
- Install the appliance in a dry, well-ventilated place away from heat sources.
- Ensure nothing is placed on top of the CD player.
- Avoid short circuits.
- In case of a problem, do not attempt to repair, disassemble, or rebuild the device, as this may cause severe electric shock.
- Avoid operating the CD player near a tuner, as this may interfere with the tuner's HF reception.
Advises:
- To optimize performance, switch the unit on at least half an hour before listening to allow the output stages to reach their ideal working temperature for optimal listening quality.
- At night or when leaving home, it is best to turn off the device using the main switch.
- For optimal sound quality, choose good-quality connection cords. Consult your specialist dealer for advice.
Maintenance
Before cleaning, switch off the CD player (using the main switch 5). Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the appliance. Never use acetone, white-spirit, ammonia, or any product containing abrasive agents. Never attempt to clean the inside of the appliance.
Warranty Conditions
The guarantee is valid for two years from the date of purchase. We recommend asking your dealer to complete the guarantee form and keeping it safe. The guarantee is only valid for appliances used correctly.
