Unplug from electrical outlet when not in use and before servicing.
DO NOT use vacuum cleaner with a damaged cord or plug. Return to EURO-PRO Operating LLC for examination, repair, or adjustment.
DO NOT pull or carry vacuum by the cord or use cord as a handle.
DO NOT unplug by pulling on cord; grasp the plug.
DO NOT handle plug or vacuum with wet hands.
DO NOT run vacuum over power cord, close door on cord, or pull cord around sharp corners.
Use of an extension cord is NOT recommended.
DO NOT leave vacuum cleaner plugged in.
Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
Turn off all controls before plugging or unplugging.
Always turn off vacuum before connecting or disconnecting motorized nozzle.
Store vacuum with power cord secured around cord holders.
General Use
Use only as described in this manual.
DO NOT put objects into openings. Keep free of dust, lint, hair, and anything that may reduce air flow.
Keep work area well lit.
Keep vacuum moving over carpet surface to avoid damaging fibers.
DO NOT place vacuum on unstable surfaces.
DO NOT allow young children to operate or use as a toy.
DO NOT use without dust cup and/or filters in place.
Wand Attachments
DO NOT use if air flow is restricted; clear obstructions before turning unit on again.
Keep end of wand and accessory openings away from face and body.
Keep cleaning tools and wand suction openings away from hair, face, fingers, uncovered feet, or loose clothing.
Only use manufacturer's recommended attachments.
Dust Cup/Filters/Accessories
Before turning on the vacuum:
Make sure all filters are thoroughly dry after routine cleaning.
Make sure dust cup and all filters are in place after routine maintenance.
Make sure accessories are free of blockages.
Only use filters and accessories provided by EURO-PRO Operating LLC. (Failure to do so will void the warranty.)
General Cleaning
DO NOT pick up large-sized objects.
DO NOT pick up hard or sharp objects (glass, nails, screws, coins).
DO NOT pick up smoking or burning objects (hot coals, cigarette butts, matches).
DO NOT pick up flammable or combustible materials (lighter fluid, gasoline, kerosene) or use in areas where they may be present.
DO NOT pick up toxic solutions (chlorine bleach, ammonia, drain cleaner).
DO NOT use in enclosed spaces with vapors from paint, paint thinner, moth-proofing substances, flammable dust, or other explosive/toxic materials.
DO NOT vacuum up any liquids.
DO NOT immerse vacuum cleaner in water or other liquids.
DO NOT use outdoors or on wet surfaces; use only on dry surfaces.
Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
Polarized Plug
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this vacuum cleaner has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. DO NOT force into outlet or try to modify to fit.
Assembly
The Shark Rocket HV300 vacuum cleaner consists of three main parts: the floor nozzle, the tube, and the handheld portion.
Insert the tube into the floor nozzle connector until it clicks.
Insert the handheld portion into the top of the tube until it clicks.
Floor Cleaning
This vacuum has a 2-speed POWER slider switch for bare floor, delicate area rug, and carpet cleaning.
Plug the unit into an outlet. Slide the POWER switch to position I (slow brush roll) for bare floor and delicate area rugs.
Slide the POWER switch to position II (fast brush roll) for carpets.
Above Floor Cleaning
This vacuum can clean above floors or in tight spaces using the tube, or as a handheld vacuum without the tube.
Using the Tube for Extended Reach
Press the colored button on the floor nozzle and pull to disconnect it from the end of the tube. Attach desired cleaning accessory.
Using as a Handheld Vacuum
Press the colored button on the top of the tube and pull to disconnect it from the handheld portion. Attach desired cleaning accessory directly to the handheld portion.

Storage
There are 2 recommended ways to store this vacuum:
Option 1: Compact Storage
Separate the handheld portion from the tube by pressing the colored button on top of the tube.
Hook the handheld portion's bottom hook onto the hanger on the bottom portion of the tube.
Wrap the cord around the two cord holders.
Option 2: Wall Mount Storage
Use the included wall mount.
Screw the wall mount into a desired wall location using a Philips head screwdriver. Use plastic anchors for drywall.
Hook the handheld portion's bottom hook onto the hanger on the wall mount.

Dust-Away™ Hard Floor Tool: Vacuums and dusts bare floors using washable pads. Includes a Washable Microfiber Pad.

Dust-Away™ Hard Floor Attachment & Cleaning Pad Instructions
Microfiber Pad Attachment
Slip two tabs between suction nozzle and duster base, attach to front fasteners.
Pull other two tabs tightly around to back fasteners. Ensure pad is flat and secured.
Usage
Use Dust-Away™ to clean dry bare floor surfaces. Do not use on damp/wet messes. Only use Shark® pads.
Cleaning & Maintenance of Microfiber Pads
Wash pads separately with warm water by machine or hand using liquid detergent.
Do NOT use bleach or fabric softeners.
Tumble dry low or line dry.
Replace microfiber pads every 3-4 months for best results.
Maintenance
Empty the Dust Cup
Detach handheld portion from vacuum.
Hold dust cup over garbage, press release button on front to open bottom lid and empty debris.
Clean dust screen inside dust cup as required.
Clean the Filters
Filters should be cleaned monthly (see page 2 for schedule).
Lift latch on top of handheld portion to access filters.
Remove and rinse foam and felt filters. Let air dry completely before replacing. Hand wash only.
Tap loose dirt off filters between washes. Insert felt filter first, then foam filter on top.
Check for Blockages
Handheld and Tube
Remove tube from handheld portion and check all dust cup intake openings.
Remove floor nozzle from tube and check tube for blockages.
Bottom of Floor Nozzle
Use a coin to unlock the 3 locks on the bottom of the floor nozzle.
Remove a portion of the base for brush roll access.
Shine a flashlight from the bottom to check for blockages.
Remove any string, carpet fibers or hair wrapped around the brush roll. Use scissors in the brush bar groove to cut debris.
Troubleshooting Guide
Vacuum is not picking up dirt. No suction or light suction.
Check filters for cleaning; rinse and dry thoroughly.
Dust cup may be full; empty dust cup.
Check tube, connections, nozzles, and accessories for blockages; clear blockages if required.
Vacuum lifts area rugs.
Suction is powerful. Use care with delicate rugs.
Turn off unit to disengage brush roll and restart with POWER button.
Brush roll does not spin.
Immediately turn off and unplug vacuum, disconnect nozzle, and remove blockage.
If vacuum overheats (thermal shut down safety feature), slide POWER switch to "O" and unplug. Wait 30 minutes for unit to cool before plugging in and restarting.
Five-Year (5) Limited Warranty
EURO-PRO Operating LLC warrants this product free from material defects and workmanship for five (5) years from purchase date for normal household use.
Liability is limited to repair or replacement. Warranty excludes normal wear, commercial use, misuse, abuse, negligent handling, shipping damage, or unauthorized repairs.

If defective, EURO-PRO Operating LLC will repair or replace free of charge. Proof of purchase is required; a $19.95 fee applies for return freight.
Non-durable parts (filters, brushes, electrical parts) are excluded.
This warranty is for original purchaser and excludes other warranties. EURO-PRO Operating LLC is not liable for incidental or consequential damages.
