Safety Instructions for Towing
This tow line is suitable for towing vehicles with a total weight up to:
- 2500 kg (Model 002-717)
- 3500 kg (Model 002-718)
Crucial Precaution: The towed vehicle must not exceed the weight of the towing vehicle. Always refer to the specific towing instructions found in the owner's manuals of both vehicles involved.
Before Each Use
- Thoroughly inspect the towline and its hooks for any signs of damage or wear before every use. Discontinue use immediately if the product is damaged or worn. This tow line is intended solely for towing and must not be used for lifting or any other purpose.
- Attach the provided red flag ? securely to the center of the towline. Connect the hooks to the designated towing points on both the towing and towed vehicles. Critically, ensure the towline does not make contact with any part of either vehicle during operation.
- For the towed vehicle, ensure the transmission is set to neutral and the ignition is switched on. This action is necessary to disengage the steering wheel lock and to ensure that the brake lights and turn signals function correctly.
Important Operational Notes
- Be aware that steering and braking will be significantly more difficult when the towed vehicle's engine is not running.
- Under no circumstances should you tow a vehicle that has defective brakes.
