Worldline in Greece Partners with Save Your Hood, Caring for the Planet's Future
Athens, June 10, 2025 – Worldline [Euronext:WLN], a global leader in payment technologies, held its second Cleanup Day in collaboration with the Non-Profit Organization Save Your Hood. This event, coinciding with World Environment Day, is part of Worldline's CSR Strategy to leave a positive environmental footprint.
Environmental Cleanup Initiative in Artemida
Over 50 Worldline volunteers from Greece (Worldline Greece & Cardlink, a Worldline brand) actively supported the environmental organization Save Your Hood. They participated in a volunteer cleanup of the wetland in the Municipality of Artemida and the nearby beach of Agios Nikolaos. The Artemida wetland is one of the few remaining wetlands in Attica and is part of a crucial network of habitats for the avifauna of Eastern Attica, extending from Schinias to Brauron.
The initiative resulted in the collection of approximately 7200 liters of mixed waste. Of this, 600 liters were sorted for recycling (blue bin), and 6600 liters of mixed and heavy waste were collected by a municipal vehicle from Artemida. Volunteers received training from the experienced Save Your Hood team to ensure effective action and contribution to the local community, while also reviewing daily practices that impact the environment.

Worldline's initiative is part of a broader program of environmental efforts aimed at raising public awareness and fostering a more environmentally responsible society.
In September 2024, Worldline conducted its first global Cleanup Day during Sustainability Week, involving 9 countries collaborating with local environmental organizations. Worldline in Greece initiated its partnership with Save Your Hood during this period. The 35 volunteers who participated in the cleanup of the heavily impacted Haidari Forest area collected over 3 neighborhood bins of mixed waste (4,100 liters), further empowering the organization's conservation efforts.
The company is already organizing the next Cleanup Day, scheduled for September 2025. Globally, the Worldline Foundation will also participate in Sustainability Week with donations to environmental organizations. Employees worldwide will have the opportunity to vote on how these funds are distributed.
