Set-Up and Connection
Please Note!
- Only connect the base station to a properly installed plug socket. The mains voltage must match the technical data of the device.
- Do not place the device below kitchen wall units or similar cupboards. The rising steam could cause damage to them!
- Make sure that the connecting cable does not present a trip hazard. It should not hang down from the surface on which the device is placed in order to prevent the device from being pulled down.
- Lay the connecting cable in such a way that it does not become squashed or bent and does not come into contact with hot surfaces.
- Unwind the connecting cable on the bottom of the base station to the required length and place it in the cable winder.
- Always set up the device with a clear space at the sides (at least 20 cm) and clear space above it (at least 30 cm) on the kitchen worktop or another flat, solid and heat-resistant surface that is resistant to splashing.
- Plug the mains plug into a plug socket. The plug socket must be readily accessible so that the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated.
Before Initial Use
- To remove any possible production residues, fill the kettle up to the MAX mark with water before you first use it and switch it on. To do this, follow the instructions in the “Set-Up and Connection" and "Use” chapters.
- Pour away the water after boiling. Do not drink this water!
- Perform this process twice.
Use
Please Note!
- Each time before you boil water, make sure that the On / Off switch is not blocked. The kettle will only switch off automatically after the boiling process finishes if the On / Off switch is not blocked.
- The lid must always be closed during operation.
- Never operate the device without water or with the water level below the MIN mark. It could overheat. In this case, the device switches off. Allow it to cool down before refilling and reusing it!
- Pull the release button for the lid towards the handle and open up the lid.
- Fill the kettle with at least 0.5 litres (MIN mark) and no more than 1.8 litres (MAX mark) of water. Insufficient water will cause the device to switch off prematurely. If the MAX mark is exceeded, water could splash out during the boiling process.
- Flip the lid shut. It must engage.
- Place the kettle on the base station.
- Move the On / Off switch to position I. The device and the operating lamp are switched on.
- The boiling process can be stopped at any time by moving the On / Off switch to position 0.
- The device switches off automatically as soon as the water boils. The On / Off switch flips to position 0 and the operating lamp goes out.
- Take the kettle off the base station and carefully pour the water into a vessel.
Cleaning
Please Note!
- The device is not dishwasher-safe.
- Do not use any sharp or abrasive cleaning agents or cleaning pads to clean the device. These may damage the surfaces.
- Disconnect the device from the mains power before cleaning it.
- Wipe off any dirt with a damp cloth.
Descaling
Remove possible limescale deposits to make sure that the kettle works properly. To do this, use a standard descaling agent for kettles as follows:
- Pour a mixture of water and descaling agent into the kettle and switch it on. Consult the instructions for using the descaling agent with regard to the ratio of water to descaling agent.
- After it has boiled, empty the kettle. Do not drink this water!
- Refill the kettle with water at least once more and bring it to the boil to remove any possible residues from the descaling agent. Pour away this water and do not drink it!
Storage
- Disconnect the base station from the mains power when the device is not going to be used for a prolonged period. Clean the device again if necessary (see the "Cleaning” chapter) and let it dry completely.
- You should store it in a cool and dry place which is out of the reach of children and animals.

Disposal
Dispose of the packaging material in an environmentally friendly manner so that it can be recycled. The adjacent symbol (crossed-out bin underlined) ♻️ means that used devices should not be disposed of in the domestic waste, but should instead be taken to special collection and return systems.
Owners of used devices from private households can take them free of charge to the collection points of the public waste disposal authorities or the disposal points which are set up by manufacturers and distributors under the Electrical Equipment Act so that they can be disposed of in an environmentally friendly way and valuable raw materials can be recovered. If they are not disposed of properly, toxic ingredients may escape into the environment and cause harm to the health of humans, animals and plants. Businesses which market electrical and electronic devices are also obliged to take back used devices.
Waste prevention makes an even more valuable contribution to protecting the environment. This means if possible, as well as continuing to use or repair a device yourself, passing it on to another user also represents an ecologically beneficial alternative to disposal.
