This document provides operating instructions and safety information for the Gourmetmaxx 15284 Allesschneider (Food Slicer).
Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance for the first time and keep them for future reference. They are an integral part of the device.

Safety Notices
⚠️ WARNING: Read all safety notices, instructions, illustrations, and technical data provided with this device. Failure to follow the safety notices and instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or injuries.
- This device must not be used by children. Keep the device and its connecting cable away from children and animals. Children must not play with the device.
- This device may be used by people with reduced physical, sensory, or mental abilities, or a lack of experience and/or knowledge, if they are supervised or have received instruction on how to use the device safely and have understood the resulting dangers.
- Exercise caution when handling the device. The cutting blade is sharp and can cause injuries. Be careful when emptying and cleaning.
- The appliance must be used with the slide and food holder in position, unless the size and shape of the food to be sliced do not permit their use.
- Always disconnect the device from the mains power when it is left unattended, and before assembling, disassembling, or cleaning it.
- Follow the instructions in the "Cleaning" chapter.
- Do not make any modifications to the device, nor replace the connecting cable yourself. If the device, cable, or accessories are damaged, they must be replaced by the manufacturer, customer service, or a specialist workshop to avoid hazards.
- Switch off the appliance and disconnect from the power supply before changing accessories or approaching moving parts.
⚠️ WARNING – Danger of Electric Shock
- Never immerse the device or connecting cable in water or other liquids. Ensure they cannot fall into water or become wet.
- If the device falls into water, immediately disconnect the power supply. Do not attempt to pull the device out of the water while it is connected to the mains power. Have the device checked by a specialist workshop before using it again.
- Never touch the device or connecting cable with wet hands when the device is connected to the mains power.
⚠️ WARNING – Danger of Fire
- Do not operate the device near combustible material. Do not place combustible materials (e.g., cardboard, paper, plastic) on or in the device.
- Do not insert anything into the ventilation openings of the device and ensure they are not clogged.
⚠️ WARNING – Danger of Injury
Danger of injury from sharp cutting blade!
- Take care when removing, inserting, and cleaning the cutting blade. Do not touch the blade with bare hands.
- Never attempt to stop the rotating cutting blade from the outside. To stop the device, always release the switches.
- Ensure the drive continues to run for a short time after switch-off. Allow the cutting blade to come to a standstill before cleaning or adjusting it.
- Keep clothing, jewelry, hair, hands, and other body parts away from the rotating cutting blade, as they could become entangled, resulting in injury from rotating parts.
ℹ️ NOTICE – Risk of Damage to Material and Property
- Only connect the device to a plug socket that matches its technical data.
- Use only original accessories from the manufacturer to ensure proper function and prevent possible damage.
Intended Use
This device is designed for slicing firm foodstuffs such as bread, hard cheese, sausages, and similar ingredients.
It is not suitable for chopping frozen or hard foods, or objects and materials.
The slicer is intended for personal domestic use only and not for commercial applications (e.g., hotels, offices, staff kitchens).
Use the device only as described in these instructions. Any other use is considered improper and may lead to device faults or user injury. The warranty does not cover faults from incorrect handling, damage, or attempted repairs, nor normal wear and tear.
Device Overview
Refer to Diagram A for component identification:
- 1 Guide wall: The stationary surface against which food is pushed.
- 2 On/Off switch: Controls the power to the device.
- 3 Safety switch: Must be pressed along with the On/Off switch to operate.
- 4 Cutting blade: The sharp blade that slices the food.
- 5 Blade-locking knob: Used to secure and release the cutting blade.
- 6 Table (foldable): The surface where food is placed for slicing. It can be folded down.
- 7 Slide guide: The track on which the slide moves.
- 8 Slide: The part that holds the food and moves it across the blade.
- 9 Finger guard: Protects the user's fingers from the blade.
- 10 Dial (cutting width): Adjusts the thickness of the slices.
Diagram B illustrates folding down the table (6).
Diagram C shows placing the slide (8) onto the slide guide (7) and attaching the finger guard (9).
Diagram D illustrates the slicing operation: placing food against the guide wall and activating the switches.
Diagram E shows the process of removing the cutting blade (4) using the blade-locking knob (5).
Preparation
- Set up the device and fold the table (6) down (see Diagram B).
- Hold the slide (8) vertically, place it on the slide guide (7), and lower it onto the table. Ensure the slide lies horizontally and engages correctly in the slide guide.
- Place the finger guard (9) onto the slide (see Diagram C).
- Unwind the mains cable completely and plug the power cord into a socket.
Operation
- Set the desired cutting width by turning the dial (10).
- Place the food item to be sliced between the finger guard (9) and the guide wall (1).
- To switch on, press the safety switch (3) and then the On/Off switch (2) (see Diagram D).
- Gently press the food item against the guide wall and slowly push the slide (8) towards the moving cutting blade (4).
- To switch off, release both switches.
- After use, unplug the device from the socket and clean it as described in the "Cleaning" section.
Cleaning
PLEASE NOTE: Do not use sharp or abrasive cleaning agents or pads, as they can damage the surfaces.
Slide and Finger Guard
Clean the slide (8) and finger guard (9) with detergent and warm water.
Device with Table
Wipe the device and table with a clean, soft, slightly damp cloth. Remove fat residues with a little detergent and a damp sponge. Do not clean in the dishwasher or immerse in water.
Cutting Blade
For thorough cleaning, the cutting blade can be removed:
- Turn the blade-locking knob (5) clockwise to release the blade.
- Carefully remove the cutting blade (see Diagram E).
- Clean the blade with detergent and warm water, or in the dishwasher.
- Once completely dry, insert the cutting blade back into the device. Turn the blade-locking knob counter-clockwise to secure it until it engages.

Disposal
Dispose of packaging material in an environmentally friendly manner, ensuring it can be recycled.
The symbol of a crossed-out bin ?️ indicates that used devices should not be disposed of with household waste. They must be taken to special collection and return systems.
Owners of used devices from private households can take them free of charge to public waste disposal collection points or manufacturer/distributor return points as set up under the Electrical Equipment Act. This ensures environmentally friendly disposal and recovery of valuable raw materials.
Improper disposal can release toxic ingredients into the environment, harming humans, animals, and plants.
Businesses marketing electrical and electronic devices are also obligated to take back used devices.
Waste prevention, such as continued use, repair, or passing the device to another user, is an ecologically beneficial alternative to disposal.
