-
Remove the grille shell from the vehicle by grasping it on both sides and gently pulling, releasing the seven tabs retaining it (Four on top and three on bottom).
-
Carefully saw out the factory plastic grille (webbed air intake section) with a hacksaw blade and handle, without cutting into the rim of the shell. (Make sure to retain the bottom center grille shell attachment tab).
-
Attach the four attachment tabs (provided in the installation kit) to the welded tabs on the billet grille with the nuts and bolts (also provided) with the attachment tabs pointing towards the front of the grille.
-
Place the billet grille in the grille shell from behind with attachment tabs fitting over the stepped down lip of the grille shell.
-
Mark and drill the attachment holes for the tabs and secure with the screws and Tinnerman clips provided.
-
Remove the nuts and bolts holding the billet grille to the tabs and remove the grille from the opening.
-
Sand the lip of the webbed air intake section that was cut out with 80 grit switching to 150 or 220.
-
Mask and paint the sanded area with satin black or black texture coat.
-
Reinstall the billet grille in the shell and reinstall the shell on the truck.
