Performance Characteristics
Output Load vs Temperature
The 'Output Load vs Temperature' graphs illustrate the maximum allowable load percentage based on ambient temperature (Ta) and case temperature (Tc). For example, at 230VAC input, the maximum ambient temperature is approximately 60°C when operating at rated current. Operation below 110VAC at -30°C may require a second setup attempt.
Static Characteristic
The 'Static Characteristic' graph shows the relationship between input voltage and output load percentage, indicating the operational range.
Power Factor (PF) Characteristic
The 'Power Factor (PF) Characteristic' graph displays the power factor values across different load percentages (50% to 100%) for input voltages of 115VAC, 230VAC, and 277VAC, showing PF typically above 0.92.
Total Harmonic Distortion (THD)
The 'Total Harmonic Distortion (THD)' graph illustrates the THD levels for the XLG-100-L model at 75°C case temperature, across various load percentages and input voltages (115VAC, 230VAC, 277VAC). THD is generally below 10% for loads above 50%.
Efficiency vs Load
The 'Efficiency vs Load' graph indicates that the XLG-100 series achieves high efficiency, up to 92.5%, across different load percentages and input voltages (115VAC, 230VAC, 277VAC) at 75°C case temperature.
Life Time
The 'Life Time' graph shows the estimated operational lifetime in thousands of hours (Kh) as a function of case temperature (Tc). For instance, at a case temperature of 75°C, the lifetime is approximately 50,000 hours.
Dimming Operation
The XLG-100 series features a 3-in-1 dimming function for the AB-Type models, allowing output current adjustment via one of three methods: 0-10VDC, 10V PWM signal, or resistance. The dimming source current is provided by the power supply (typically 100 μA).
Dimming Methods:
- 0-10VDC Dimming: Applying additive 0-10VDC voltage between DIM+ and DIM- terminals adjusts the output current. The graph shows output current percentage increasing linearly with input voltage from 0V to 10V.
- 10V PWM Signal Dimming: Applying a 10V PWM signal (100Hz-3KHz) between DIM+ and DIM- terminals adjusts the output current based on the duty cycle. The graph shows output current percentage increasing linearly with duty cycle from 0% to 100%.
- Resistance Dimming: Applying resistance between DIM+ and DIM- terminals adjusts the output current. The graph shows output current percentage increasing with resistance value from a short (0Ω) to 100kΩ.
Note: Minimum dimming level is approximately 8%. Output current is not defined for 0% < Iout < 8%. Output current can drop to 0% when dimming input is 0kΩ, 0Vdc, or 10V PWM signal with 0% duty cycle.
Mechanical Specification
The XLG-100 series drivers feature a metal casing with dimensions of 140mm (Length) x 63mm (Width) x 32mm (Height). The units are supplied with input and output cables. Different types are available:
- Blank-Type: Fixed output current, suitable for harsh environments.
- A-Type: Features a built-in potentiometer for adjustable output current.
- AB-Type: Includes the 3-in-1 dimming function.
The product is designed for reliable operation and includes necessary safety and EMC certifications.
