The Baby Trend® warranty covers workmanship defects within 1 year of purchase. Any product subjected to misuse, abuse, abnormal use, excessive wear and tear, improper assembly, negligence, environmental exposure, alteration or accident, or with an altered/removed serial number invalidates all claims. Any damage to property during installation is the sole responsibility of the end user.

WARNING: Failure to follow instructions could result in serious injury or death. Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out; always use the safety harness and ensure children are properly positioned.

WARNING: Never leave children unattended.

WARNING: Be careful when folding and unfolding the stroller to prevent finger entrapment.

WARNING: Wheels can detach and cause tip-over. Pull on wheels to ensure they are securely attached.

WARNING: Be careful when folding the stroller to prevent damage. Remove all accessories, mobile phones, diaper bags, or purses before folding. Failure to do so may result in damage to the stroller or items. Baby Trend® is not liable or warrants any damage.

WARNING: Child may slip into leg openings and strangle. NEVER use in full recline position unless enclosure is raised to cover the front opening (refer to section 25).

CAUTION: This stroller is designed for one child only. Use with more than one child may cause imbalance, potentially injuring your child.

CAUTION: Purses, shopping bags, parcels, diaper bags, or accessory items may change the stroller's balance, creating a hazardous condition.

CAUTION: Maximum weight in storage basket: 5 lbs (2.27kg). Excessive weight may cause instability.

CAUTION: Maximum weight in child tray: 3 lbs (1.36 kg).

CAUTION: Maximum weight in parent tray: 3 lbs (1.36 kg).

CAUTION: Ensure stroller is fully opened and locked before allowing a child near it.

CAUTION: Child occupant must not exceed 50 lb (22.67 kg) or 42 inches (106.7 cm) tall. Total weight (child + accessories) must not exceed 60 lb (27.21 kg). Exceeding this limit may cause excessive wear, stress, and hazardous instability.

CAUTION: ALWAYS refer to the infant car seat manual for its specific weight limitations.

CAUTION: NEVER use the stroller on stairways or escalators.

CAUTION: NEVER use the stroller with roller skates, in-line skates, skateboards, or bicycles.

CAUTION: NEVER allow your stroller to be used as a toy.

CAUTION: NEVER run or jog with this stroller.

Assembly Instructions

Setting Up the Stroller Frame

  1. Release the fold latch by pulling it outward. Unfold the stroller frame by pulling upward on the stroller handle until the frame locks. (See diagram showing latch release and frame unfolding.)

Rear Wheels Assembly

The rear wheels MUST be installed prior to use.

  1. Remove the pin and one washer from both ends of the rear axle. (Diagram shows pin and washer removal.)
  2. Install the rear wheel with the auxiliary teeth inserting first. (Diagram shows wheel installation.)
  3. Pass the cross bar through the rear wheel and insert the second washer. (Diagram shows cross bar and washer placement.)
  4. Place the pin horizontally into the hole of the axle bar and then rotate into a vertical position. (Diagram shows pin insertion and rotation.)
  5. Align the tabs on the cap with the holes on the wheels. Push the cap into the wheel to close the axle assembly. Press firmly with your palm to ensure it is completely secured. Repeat for the other side. (Diagram shows cap alignment and securing.)
  6. Place the rear legs over the axle with wheels and apply downward pressure on both sides. Ensure both sides lock into place. (Diagram shows legs being placed and locked.)

NOTE: Pull on the front and rear wheels to ensure all are securely attached. NEVER use the stroller if wheels do not lock into place. For assistance, contact customer service.

Parent Tray Attachment

WARNING: Do not place hot liquids or more than 3 lb (1.36 kg) in the parent tray. Serious burns or unstable conditions can result.

WARNING: Be careful when folding the stroller to prevent damage. Ensure all accessories are removed before folding. Failure to remove items may result in damage to the stroller or items.

  1. Face the tray with the prominent arch side towards the canopy. Locate the three canopy straps and the seat strap. (Diagram shows tray orientation and strap locations.)
  2. Flip the tray over with slots facing towards the seat and canopy. Thread the middle canopy strap through its slot, then thread the middle seat strap through its slot. (Diagram shows tray flip and initial strap threading.)
  3. Insert the remaining straps into the tray slots. (Diagram shows remaining strap insertion.)
  4. Pull back each strap to catch the hole into each corresponding tray tab. (Diagram shows strap securing.)
  5. Flip the tray over and align the parent tray tabs to the inner tabs on both sides of the stroller. Press the tray down firmly until both tabs click into position. (Diagram shows final tray attachment.)

NOTE: Ensure all fabric panels are attached to their corresponding tabs. To secure the canopy, hook elastic strap fasteners on each side of the stroller frame.

Canopy

  1. Pull the canopy edge forward or backward to open and close. (Diagram shows canopy operation.)
  2. Fold the canopy visor out for additional shade or fold inward when not in use. (Diagram shows visor adjustment.)

Child Tray Attachment

WARNING: The child's tray is not a restraint device; always secure your child with the seat harness. DO NOT lift the stroller by the child's tray. Use care when the child is in the stroller and securing the front tray. Do not place hot liquids or more than 3 pounds (1.36 kg) in the child tray. Serious burns or unstable conditions could result.

  1. To attach the child tray: Push the tray downward into the connectors. Check that the tray is securely latched in place. (Diagram shows tray attachment.)
  2. To access the child seat: Push one release and lift up the tray simultaneously. Either side of the child tray will lift and rotate out of the way to allow access to the front seat. (Diagram shows tray release for seat access.)
  3. To remove the child tray: Push to release both ends and lift up the tray simultaneously. (Diagram shows tray removal.)

Storage Basket & Rear Brakes

  1. Storage Basket Straps: Ensure all straps with snap closures are attached correctly. Always secure straps as shown. (Diagram shows strap securing.)
  2. Basket Access / Flip-Up Leg Rest: Lift the leg rest to access the storage basket from the front side. Lift the leg rest from the edge and always close the storage basket front access when not in use. (Diagram shows leg rest lift for basket access.)
  3. Rear Brakes: Always set brakes when the stroller is not being pushed to prevent it from rolling away. NEVER leave the stroller unattended on a hill or incline. Press down the brake levers to engage and lift up on the brake levers to release. The stroller may require forward or rearward movement to engage the brake. Check that brakes are properly applied. (Diagram shows brake engagement/release.)

Safety - Securing the Child

WARNING: Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out. Always use the safety harness.

STRANGULATION HAZARD: Child can strangle in loose safety harness. Never leave child in seat when safety harness is loose or undone.

  1. Harness Adjustment: The 5-point harness shoulder straps have multiple positions. Select the position that places the shoulder strap level with, or below the top of the child's shoulder. (Diagram shows shoulder strap adjustment.)
  2. Securing the Child: Place the safety harness around the child's waist and over the shoulders. Place the crotch strap between the child's legs. Insert the male end of each shoulder/waist belt into the buckle on the crotch strap. Tighten all buckles for a proper fit. (Diagram shows harness buckling.)
  3. Adjusting Harness Height: To adjust the harness to the next height level, pull the strap in a hoop form through the slot. To adjust to a lower height level, thread the clip back into the slot and pull it out through the desired lower level. (Diagrams show height adjustment.)
  4. Releasing Harness: Push the button on the center clasp to release the two harness buckles. (Diagram shows buckle release.)

Seatback Positioning

  1. To recline the seat, press the clip ends together to release and pull down. To place the seat into an upright position, press the clip ends together while holding the end of the strap, then push the clip upwards to secure. The upright position should be used only for a child at least 6 months old. Always re-adjust the safety harness, including shoulder belts, when repositioning the seatback. (Diagram shows seatback recline adjustment.)

Infant Car Seat Attachment

WARNING: Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out; always use the Infant Car Seat harness.

ATTENTION: Specific Baby Trend EZ-Lift models (CS01, CS02, CS03) must attach to the stroller's front seat module. These models require child tray and seat back adjustment to the most reclined position. Refer to step 9 for seat position adjustments.

  1. Align the car seat module to the inner frame connectors. Carefully rest the car seat's lower rear against the angle point of the tray. Latch the module into the stroller frame. Press down firmly until you hear a click. ALWAYS ensure the car seat is properly connected and locked onto the stroller before each use by lifting up on the car seat handle. (Diagram shows car seat module alignment and latching.)

Features

Removing the Car Seat

  1. Set the handle to the carry position. Squeeze the release handle located at the top-rear of the car seat and lift away from the stroller. (Diagrams show handle position and car seat removal.)

Convert to Carriage Mode

The stroller can be converted to carriage mode with various features like a reclined seat, mosquito net, or extended leg rest.

Carriage Extension

  1. Press the buttons to raise the leg rest. Undo the buckle strap and unfold the flaps from under the leg rest. (Diagrams show leg rest and flap adjustment.)
  2. Use the hook and loop on the sides to assemble the carriage. Rehook the straps. (Diagrams show hook and loop and strap reattachment.)
  3. Secure the straps and button closures to the stroller. Place the stroller seat into a full recline position. (Diagrams show final securing and recline.)
  4. To put away the carriage extension, reverse the steps: fold in the side flaps and tuck in the front fabric, then buckle the strap. (Diagrams show storage steps.)

Mosquito Net

  1. Install mosquito net: Refer to step 11 and install the carriage. Unzip canopy and pull out the net from the storage pocket. (Diagram shows net extraction.)
  2. Stretch the net down to the unfolded flaps and zip together. (Diagram shows net stretching and zipping.)
  3. Use the toggles on the left and right sides of the net to secure to the frame. Repeat for the other side. (Diagram shows toggle securing.)
  4. To store away the mosquito net: Undo the toggles, unzip from the flaps, and roll toward the canopy. Repeat for the other side. Locate the zipper attached to the canopy end and connect it to the track. Continue to tuck the net into the pocket while zipping it closed. Tuck and zip in sections. (Diagrams show net storage.)
  5. To remove the carriage, refer to step 11.

Folding and Unfolding the Stroller

Folding the Stroller

WARNING: Be careful when folding and unfolding to prevent finger entrapment.

WARNING: Be careful when folding to prevent damage. Remove all accessories before folding.

CAUTION: Do not allow children near the stroller while folding.

  1. Locate the strap in the seat pocket. Pull the strap firmly upward to unlock the frame. (Diagram shows strap pull for unlocking.)
  2. Holding the strap, lift the stroller frame until it fully closes. Compress stroller and secure with the fold latch. (Diagrams show frame closing and latching.)
  3. Always tuck the pull strap back into the seat fabric. You may remove the tray for a compact fold (refer to Step 4). (Diagrams show strap tucking and tray removal.)

Unfolding the Stroller

CAUTION: Do not allow children near the stroller while unfolding.

  1. Unlock the fold latch and unfold the stroller frame by pulling upward on the stroller handle until the frame locks. Refer to child tray instructions for removing or adjusting the tray if needed. (Diagrams show latch unlock and frame unfolding.)

Securing the Carriage Fabric

If assembly is required: Always secure the straps and buckle underneath the footrest when the carriage is not in use. (Diagram shows fabric securing.)

Maintenance

Securing the Seat Fabric

  1. If assembly required: Feed the rear recline clip and the seat fabric through the appropriate hook and loop slots on the stroller frame. (Diagram shows fabric feeding.)
  2. Ensure the safety straps underneath the rear seat are secured through the appropriate slots. (Diagram shows strap securing.)

Front and Rear Wheel Release

  1. Front Wheel Replacement: Locate the release pin on the front of the wheel hub. Push in the release pin and pull the wheel out. To reinstall, assemble the front wheels by inserting each to the pin and pressing firmly. Note: Release pin faces inward if wheel is positioned as shown. (Diagrams show front wheel release and reinstallation.)
  2. Rear Wheel Replacement: Press the release pin and pull the wheel out. (Diagram shows rear wheel release.)
