Important Safety Information
WARNING! DO NOT KEEP EMERGENCY KEYS IN VAULT! If the batteries are empty, the vault can only be opened with the emergency keys.

Product Overview
This document provides instructions for the HMF Key Safe with Electronic Lock, available in several article numbers: 2030-11, 2048-11, 2071-11, 2100-11, 2133-11.
The key safe features an electronic lock and is designed for secure storage of keys.
Getting Started
1. Opening the Vault for the First Time
Use the enclosed emergency key. Remove the emergency lock cover (5) and unlock the lock counterclockwise. Rotate the knob (4) clockwise to open the door.
2. Inserting the Batteries
Open the door and remove the battery compartment cover (3). Insert 4 x AA batteries, observing polarity. WARNING! If the red and green LEDs light up simultaneously, the batteries are low and fresh batteries should be inserted.
3. Storing the Personal Code
Once the safe door is opened and the batteries are inserted, you can store your personal code (3-8 digits).
- Press the reset button (2) on the inside of the door.
- Enter your personal code (3-8 digits) as soon as the yellow LED lights up. Confirm the entry with "A" or "B".
- If the yellow LED flashes and three beeps follow, the new code has not been saved successfully. Please repeat the procedure.
4. Opening the Vault
- Enter your stored code (3-8 digits). When you press a button, a beep sounds and the yellow LED flashes.
- Confirm the entry with "A" or "B". The green LED lights up.
- Rotate the knob (4) clockwise and pull the door to you within 5 seconds.
WARNING! The preset factory code is "159". You can use this if problems occur with the electronic lock. These are indicated by three flashes of the yellow LED on the electronic lock.
5. Closing the Door
Close the door and turn the knob (4) counterclockwise. The door is now locked.
6. Automatic Lock
Three continuously wrong entries will activate a warning beep for 20 seconds. During this time, the vault cannot be opened. Please use the emergency key to open the vault during the 20-second lockout period.

7. Wall Mounting
Choose a suitable place to mount your key safe on the wall.
- Drill holes for the dowels at the desired location.
- Insert the dowels into the pre-drilled holes and secure the vault with appropriate screws.
WARNING! If you want to attach the vault to a concrete wall, use the expansion bolts. For mounting on a wooden wall, use the clamping screws. If necessary, use your own fixing material which is suitable for your installation location.

Product Disposal
Dear customer, at the end of the product's service life, please dispose of it properly. Our product contains valuable materials that can be recycled. Please contribute to waste avoidance.
Owners of old appliances must separate used batteries and accumulators that are not enclosed by the old appliance from the old appliance before handing them in at a collection point.
Please note that electrical and electronic equipment and batteries labelled with the recycling symbol (crossed-out wheelie bin) must not be disposed of with household waste, but must be collected separately. Please enquire about collection points for batteries and electrical waste at the responsible office in your city/municipality.
Used batteries must not be disposed of with household waste, as they may contain toxic elements and heavy metals that can be harmful to the environment and human health. Consumers are therefore obliged to return batteries free of charge to retailers or local collection points. Used batteries are recycled. They contain important raw materials such as iron, zinc, manganese or nickel.
The symbols under the waste garbage can indicate the following:
- Pb: The battery contains lead
- Cd: The battery contains cadmium
- Hg: The battery contains mercury
