Important Operating Instructions / Disclaimer

Please read these operating instructions carefully before operating the lock. HMF accepts no liability whatsoever for malfunctions caused by incorrect adjustment or the use of force, or improper handling, or for damage to property or financial loss caused, for example, by failure to lock the safe properly.

⚠️ Never keep the supplied emergency opening key in the safe!

Commissioning / Emergency Opening

To open the safe for the first time, remove cover B over the emergency opening lock by pressing firmly on the raised area of the cover (see Fig. 1). Then insert the emergency key included in the scope of delivery into the key opening and turn the emergency key "anti-clockwise" with your right hand and hold it firmly against the stop in this position to release the mechanical lock. At the same time, please turn the lever for opening the safe "clockwise" with your left hand so that the safe can be opened in an emergency.

Open the battery compartment (see Fig. 2) on the inside of the door and insert the batteries included in the scope of delivery into the battery compartment (note the polarity). To do this, slide the cover downwards until it can be removed. Now close the battery compartment.

Diagram Description: Figure 1 shows the safe door with labels A (knob), B (emergency lock cover). Figure 2 shows the battery compartment. Figure 3 shows the keypad with LED indicators (Green, Red, Yellow) and the reset button C.

Entering the Codes

You can save user and master codes. The user code allows you to grant other people access to the safe. The master code (main code) guarantees you continued access, even if the user code has been changed.

3.1 Entering a User Code

  1. Leave the safe door open and press the reset button C (see Fig. 3) inside the battery compartment. As soon as the yellow LEDs light up and the beeps sound, your desired code can be entered.
  2. Enter your desired user code (3 - 8 digits) and confirm the code with the * or # button.

Your code is now saved. Please make a note of the code or use a code that you will not forget. Before you close the safe, test the newly saved code. If the yellow LEDs now flash and beeps sound, the code was not entered successfully. Please try again.

3.2 Entering a Master Code

  1. Leave the safe door open and press the "0" button twice and the reset button C once (see Fig. 3, inside the battery compartment). As soon as the yellow LEDs light up and the beeps sound, your desired code can be entered.
  2. Enter your desired master code (3 - 8 digits) and confirm the code with the * or # button.

Your code is now saved. Please make a note of the code or use a code that you will not forget. Before you close the safe, test the newly saved code. If the yellow LEDs now flash and beeps sound, the code was not entered successfully. Please try again.

Opening the Safe with Your Code

  1. Enter your user code and then press the * button. The green LED lights up.
  2. Turn knob A (see Fig. 1) clockwise within 5 seconds of the beep sounding.
  3. To lock the safe again, close the safe door and turn knob A (see Fig. 1) anti-clockwise.

ATTENTION: If the wrong code is entered three times, the safe locks automatically and a warning signal sounds. The keypad is now deactivated. The warning signal can now only be stopped by opening the safe with the emergency key and switching off the power supply by removing the batteries.

Changing the Batteries

When the batteries are low, the green and red LEDs light up together. Open the battery compartment and replace the batteries.

When the batteries are removed, the lock is reset directly to the factory setting and the personal opening code (user and master code) must be reprogrammed.

Switching Off Sound Signals

Switch off: Press the * button, then the digits 633. Switch on: Press the * button, then the digits 66.

Anchoring the Safe

To minimise the risk of theft, the safe should be secured using the four holes in the rear panel. Appropriate anchoring material is included in the scope of delivery for anchoring in concrete. For anchoring in other substrates, equivalent anchoring materials must be used depending on the local conditions.

  1. Hold the safe in the desired position and mark the drill holes with a pencil.
  2. Drill the holes for the expansion anchors.
  3. Insert the expansion plugs into the pre-drilled holes.
  4. Now hold the safe against the holes and screw the screws through the safe into the holes.
  5. Check that the safe is secure and tighten the screws if necessary.
