Important Notes on Operation / Exclusion of Liability

Please read this instruction manual carefully before operating the lock. HMF assumes no liability for malfunctions caused by incorrect adjustment, use of force, improper handling, or property or financial damages resulting from incorrect locking of the safe.

Never store the supplied emergency opening keys inside the safe!

Commissioning / Emergency Opening

For the first opening or for emergency opening, use the provided emergency keys. To do this, remove the emergency lock cover (6) and unlock the lock by turning it counterclockwise. Turn the rotary knob (5) clockwise to open the safe door.

Inserting the Batteries

Leave the safe door open, open the battery compartment cover (3) of the safe, and insert four AA batteries into the battery compartment (observe polarity).

Attention! If the red and green LEDs light up simultaneously, the batteries are low and fresh batteries should be inserted.

Storing the Personal Code

  1. Press the reset button (2) on the inside of the safe door.
  2. Begin entering your desired personal code (3-8 digits) as soon as the yellow LED lights up. Confirm the entry with "*" or "#".
  3. If the yellow LED flashes and three beeps follow, the new code was not saved successfully. Please repeat the procedure.

Closing the Safe

Close the safe door and turn the rotary knob (5) counterclockwise. The door is now locked.

Opening the Safe with Personal Code

  1. Enter your stored code (3-8 digits). When you press a button, a beep sounds and the yellow LED flashes.
  2. Confirm the entry with "*" or "#". The green LED lights up.
  3. Turn the rotary knob (5) clockwise and pull the door towards you within 5 seconds.

Attention! The default factory code is "159". This can be used if problems occur with the electronic lock, indicated by three flashes of the yellow LED.

Automatic Lock

Entering the code incorrectly three times in a row will activate a warning beep for 20 seconds, during which the safe cannot be opened with the code. If the code is entered incorrectly three more times consecutively, a warning beep will sound for 5 minutes. To stop the warning tone and open the safe within the lockout period, use the emergency key and remove the batteries.

Wall Mounting

Choose a suitable location to mount your key safe on the wall.

  1. Drill holes for the dowels at the desired location.
  2. Insert the dowels into the pre-drilled holes and secure the safe with appropriate screws.

Attention! For mounting on a concrete wall, use expansion bolts. For mounting on a wooden wall, use clamping screws. If necessary, use your own fixing material suitable for your installation location.

Diagram Description (Figure 4): Shows two methods for wall mounting. Method A illustrates mounting to a wall using screws and dowels. Method B shows mounting to a wall using expansion bolts (for concrete) or clamping screws (for wood).
