Outdoor Wall Lamp
7051-1WG
Operations Manual
Product Description
This is the 7051-1WG Outdoor Wall Lamp, designed for exterior lighting applications. It features an intelligent dusk-to-dawn sensor for automatic operation.
Where to Place Your Outdoor Wall Lights
Proper placement ensures optimal illumination and functionality. For a single light next to an entryway or garage door, position it at 1/3 of the door's height. If placing lights on both sides of the door, position each light at 1/4 of the door's height. To determine this, measure the door's height and divide by 4 for two lights, or by 3 for one light. For example, on an 80-inch tall door, lights should be placed 20 inches high. Lights should also be positioned 66 inches from the floor or ground to effectively illuminate the lock and handle area, and 6 inches from the edge of the door. If using only one light, place it on the side of the door closest to the handle.
Diagram Description: A visual shows a house with a wall lamp mounted next to the door. Dimensions indicate: 13.5" Tall Fixture, 80" Door height. When placing two lights at 1/4 height, each fixture would be 20" tall (80" / 4). Lights should be 66" from the floor and 6" from the door edge.
? Helpful Tip
- This product is equipped with a dusk-to-dawn sensor. Ensure installation height prevents objects like eaves from covering the sensor, which could cause the light to remain on constantly.
- After rotating the glass lampshade into position, avoid applying excessive force to prevent accidental damage.
Frequently Asked Questions
❓ Does it feature a dusk-to-dawn sensor?
Absolutely. This exterior light fixture features an intelligent dusk-to-dawn sensor that automatically transitions from off to on as nightfall approaches, adjusting to ambient light levels below 20 LUX. In the morning, when brightness exceeds 90 LUX, it turns off, saving energy and eliminating the need for manual operation.
❓ What could be the reason if the lamp does not turn on during installation?
If the lamp remains off during installation, it is likely due to the dusk-to-dawn sensor's natural deactivation during daylight hours. To verify functionality, cover the sensor with your hand or a cloth after turning on the power switch. If the lamp illuminates, it confirms the lamp is working as intended, and the issue relates to the sensor's automatic day/night cycle.
❓ What if I do not need the dusk-to-dawn functionality?
This fixture includes a convenient rubber cap that allows you to easily disable the dusk-to-dawn feature. Simply slide the cap over the sensor when you prefer manual control over the lamp's operation.
❓ What should I do if the glass lampshade I received is cracked or broken?
If your glass lampshade is cracked, broken, or not in perfect condition, please contact customer service immediately. The team is dedicated to providing the best possible solution and ensuring your satisfaction.
