Key Technologies and Features
Dolby Atmos® for 3.1.2ch with Surround Enhancer
The VSX-832 supports up to 3.1.2ch Dolby Atmos®. Surround Enhancer, developed by Dolby Laboratories, Inc., is a virtual speaker technology based on Head-Related Transfer Function (HRTF). Using DSP, it creates virtual surround speakers that deliver sound typically coming from rear speakers. This expands the 3.1.2ch setup to a 5.1.2ch experience, creating a 3D surround sound field. It allows users without rear speakers to enjoy various audio formats in a wide sound field, alongside Dolby Atmos®.
Note: Dolby Atmos® and Surround Enhancer features are available with a firmware update. Excludes audio signals encoded by DTS formats.
DTS:X®
DTS:X® is a next-generation audio codec from DTS that uses object-based audio for immersive and interactive experiences. It automatically adapts to the existing channels and speaker system, eliminating the need for a specific speaker layout. Experience an incredibly rich and life-like immersive soundscape.
Reflex Optimizer
When using Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers, sound waves travel different paths: some reflect off the ceiling, while others travel directly to the listener. This difference causes a phase shift, potentially affecting sound localization. The Reflex Optimizer, utilizing Phase Control technology, adjusts this shift to improve the sound image localization by aligning frequencies with floor speakers, creating an ideal reproduction environment.

MCACC Auto Room Tuning
Pioneer's MCACC (Multi-Channel Acoustic Calibration System), developed with professional recording studio expertise, creates the optimum acoustic environment. Using a custom microphone, the system automatically compensates for differences in speaker size, level, and distance, and equalizes the frequency response.
Synchronised Sound with Phase Control
Phase Control is an innovative solution for the phase lag that can occur between the subwoofer and main channel speakers due to bass management filters. It compensates for delayed bass signals, improving overall sound synchronisation.
Built-in Dual Band Wi-Fi®
Enjoy network features like audio streaming via wireless LAN. The built-in Wi-Fi supports both 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz frequency bands. Using the 5 GHz band provides steady and uninterrupted streaming of audio files.

Enjoy effortless multi-room playback of LP records, CDs, network music services, and more with supported components and speaker systems. Music selection, speaker grouping, and playback management across the home are managed via the Pioneer Remote App.

Chromecast built-in
The VSX-832 features Chromecast built-in, allowing you to stream music, radio, or podcasts from your mobile device to the receiver.
