Dolby Atmos® for 3.1.2ch with Surround Enhancer
The VSX-832 supports up to 3.1.2ch Dolby Atmos®. Surround Enhancer, developed by Dolby Laboratories, Inc., is a virtual speaker technology based on Head-Related Transfer Function (HRTF). Using DSP, it delivers sound that typically comes from surround speakers, virtually expanding 3.1.2ch to 5.1.2ch for a 3D surround sound field. This allows users who cannot install rear speakers to enjoy various audio formats in a wide sound field, alongside Dolby Atmos®.

DTS:X™
DTS:X is a next-generation audio codec from DTS that uses object-based audio for immersive and interactive experiences. It automatically adapts audio to existing channels and speaker systems, eliminating the need for a specific speaker layout. Experience rich, life-like, and immersive soundscapes.
Reflex Optimizer
When using Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers, sound reflecting off the ceiling can cause phase shifts, making the audio uncomfortable. The Reflex Optimizer, utilizing Phase Control technology, adjusts these shifts. It aligns frequencies with floor speakers to improve the localization of the sound image, creating an ideal reproduction environment.

MCACC Auto Room Tuning
Create the optimum acoustic environment with Pioneer's MCACC (Multi-Channel Acoustic Calibration System), developed with expertise from professional recording studios. Using a custom microphone, the system automatically compensates for differences in speaker size, level, and distance, and equalizes response.
Synchronised Sound with Phase Control
Phase Control is an innovative solution for the phase lag between the subwoofer and main channel speakers caused by bass management filters. It compensates for the delayed bass to improve sound synchronization.
Chromecast built-in
The VSX-832 features Chromecast built-in, allowing users to stream favorite music, radio, or podcasts to the receiver using a mobile device.
