Key Technologies
Dolby Atmos® and Surround Enhancer
The VSX-832 supports up to 3.1.2ch Dolby Atmos®. Surround Enhancer, developed by Dolby Laboratories, Inc., is a virtual speaker technology based on Head-Related Transfer Function (HRTF). Using DSP, it delivers sound that virtually expands surround speakers, creating a 3D sound field. This allows users to enjoy various audio formats in a wide sound field, even without rear speakers.

DTS:X™
DTS:X is a next-generation audio codec from DTS that enables new immersive and interactive audio experiences through object-based audio. It automatically adapts to existing channels and speaker systems, requiring no specific speaker layout for an incredibly rich and life-like soundscape.
Reflex Optimizer
When using Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers, sound reflecting off the ceiling can cause phase shifts, leading to uncomfortable audio. The Reflex Optimizer, utilizing Phase Control technology, adjusts these shifts by aligning frequencies with floor speakers, improving sound image localization and creating an ideal reproduction environment.

Built-in Dual Band Wi-Fi

Multi-room Audio with FireConnect™, Chromecast built-in, and DTS Play-Fi®
FireConnect™ [FireConnect] mirrors network audio and external analog sources to compatible speakers in other rooms. Music selection, speaker grouping, and playback management are handled via the Pioneer Remote App.
* FireConnect™ is enabled with a firmware update. Sharing of audio from external inputs depends on the model and is enabled with a future firmware update. Sampling rates of 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz are supported.
Chromecast built-in [Chromecast built-in] allows streaming of music, radio, and podcasts from mobile devices to the receiver. Control is managed through Chromecast-enabled apps on various platforms.

DTS Play-Fi® [DTS Play-Fi] wirelessly streams audio content from compatible mobile devices to the VSX-832 and other DTS Play-Fi compatible systems, enabling multi-room audio setups. Different sources can be streamed to different speakers simultaneously via the DTS Play-Fi app.

MCACC Auto Room Tuning
Pioneer's MCACC [MCACC] (Multi-Channel Acoustic Calibration System), developed with professional recording studio expertise, creates an optimal acoustic environment. Using a custom microphone, it automatically compensates for speaker size, level, and distance differences, equalizing the response.
Synchronised Sound with Phase Control
Phase Control addresses the phase lag between the subwoofer and main channel speakers caused by bass management filters. It compensates for delayed bass signals, improving sound synchronization.
