Setup
Connecting the JLab Talk PRO USB Microphone
- Connect the USB-C cable to the Talk PRO microphone.
- Connect the USB-C cable to a USB-A port on your PC or Mac.

Check your PC or Mac's settings to ensure the connection is established.

Configure Talk PRO with PC / MAC
Configure Talk PRO with PC (Windows 7, 8, or 10)
- From the Start menu, select Control Panel.
- In the Control Panel, select the Sound icon.
- Select the Recording tab and then select JLab Talk PRO.
- Select the Playback tab and then select JLab Talk PRO.
Configure Talk PRO with MAC (macOS 10.10 or Higher)
- Open System Preferences and select the Sound icon.
- Select the Input tab and select JLab Talk PRO.
- Select the Output tab and select JLab Talk PRO.
- From this screen, adjust the output volume to your desired level.

Front Controls

Base Controls

Polar Patterns
The JLab Talk PRO offers multiple polar patterns for different recording scenarios:
Cardioid: Captures sound primarily from the front of the microphone.
Omni: Captures sound equally from all directions around the microphone.
Stereo: Captures sound for distinct left and right channels.
Bidirectional: Captures sound from both the front and back of the microphone.
Usage
Microphone Positioning
For optimal audio quality, position the microphone correctly:
Incorrect Position: Microphone is too far from the sound source (e.g., mouth).

Correct Position: Microphone is close to the sound source.

Notes
- Talk PRO functions with most recording software on macOS, Windows, or Linux. Verify your software's settings and adjust as needed.
- No additional drivers or software are required for Talk PRO. Simply connect and configure device settings.
- Talk PRO does not operate with an external battery pack. It requires a USB-A input from an operating system.
