General Description
The Aprilaire Ventilating Dehumidifier brings in fresh air to meet ventilation needs while removing high humidity that comes in with outdoor air. Fresh air is introduced when the air conditioning is running, allowing the cooling equipment to remove humidity from the air. If ventilation needs cannot be met when the air conditioning is running, the Aprilaire Ventilating Dehumidifier brings in fresh air and removes humidity via its integral dehumidification system. The desired amount of ventilation and maximum allowable humidity level are set using the built-in control, which measures the air's humidity to determine if dehumidification is needed. Energy savings are optimized by using high and low temperature limits to bring in outdoor air when temperatures are more moderate.
The provided 8-foot power cord with plug allows for simple installation, requiring a single 120VAC outlet to operate the dehumidifier and integrated 24-volt ventilation damper. The installation temperature range is up to 140°F. The integrated digital display and control allow adjustment of the %RH and ventilation time setting. The unit includes a removable, washable filter.
