Please read instructions carefully to understand how to operate your Timex watch. Your model may not have all of the features described in this booklet.
Extended Warranty (U.S. Only)
Extend your warranty for an additional 4 years from date of purchase for $5. Payment can be made with AMEX, Discover, Visa, or MasterCard by calling 1-800-448-4639 during normal business hours. Payment must be made within 30 days of purchase. Name, address, telephone number, purchase date, and 5-digit model number are required. Basic Operations
The watch features several buttons for operation: [MODE Button], [INDIGLO Button], [START/SPLIT Button], [STOP/RESET Button], [SET Button], and [TEMP Button].
- Press the [MODE] button to cycle through CHRONO, TIMER, ALARM, and TIME ZONE modes.
- Press the [INDIGLO] button to illuminate the watch face.
- When setting functions, press and hold the [START/SPLIT] button to advance digits rapidly.
- In any mode, pressing the [MODE] button will display the time.
- Press any button to stop alarm or timer beeps.
Time and Date Setting
- Press and hold the [SET] button. The SECONDS digits will flash.
- Press the [START/SPLIT] button to set SECONDS to 0.
- Press the [MODE] button to select HOURS.
- Press the [START/SPLIT] button to advance. Cycle through 12 hours for AM or PM.
- Press the [MODE] button to select TENS of MINUTES, then press [START/SPLIT] to advance.
- Repeat this process to set MINUTES, MONTH, DATE, DAY, and the 12- or 24-hour TIME display.
- Press the [SET] button when done.
Chronograph
To use the Chronograph:
- Press [MODE] to select CHRONO mode.
- Press [SET] to select Lap or Split display.
- Press [START/SPLIT] to start the chronograph.
- Press [START/SPLIT] again to record a lap time.
- Press [MODE] to display lap or split time (this occurs automatically after 15 seconds).
- Press [STOP/RESET] to pause the chronograph.
- Press [START/SPLIT] to resume.
- Press [STOP/RESET] to stop the chronograph.
- Press [STOP/RESET] again to reset the chronograph to zero.
Note: When the CHRONO is running, 'LAP' or 'SPLIT' will appear in the time display.

Countdown Timer
To set and use the Countdown Timer:
- Press [MODE] to select TIMER mode.
- Press [SET] to select HOURS. The digits will flash.
- Press [START/SPLIT] to advance the hour.
- Press [MODE] to select TENS of MINUTES, then press [START/SPLIT] to advance.
- Repeat this process to set MINUTES, TENS of SECONDS, and SECONDS.
- Press [SET] when done.
- Press [START/SPLIT] to start the timer.
- Press [STOP/RESET] to pause the timer; press [START/SPLIT] to resume.
- Press [STOP/RESET] again to reset the timer.
- Press and hold [SET] to set a new time duration.
The watch will emit a beep when the countdown ends.
Alarm and Chime
To set the Alarm and Chime:
- Press [MODE] to select ALARM mode.
- Press [SET] to set the alarm time.
- Press [MODE] to set HOURS. The digits will flash.
- Press [START/SPLIT] to advance. Cycle through 12 hours for AM or PM.
- Press [MODE] to select TENS of MINUTES, then press [START/SPLIT] to advance.
- Repeat this process to set MINUTES and the desired Time Zone (1 or 2).
- Press [SET] when done.
- In ALARM Mode, press the [START/SPLIT] button repeatedly to turn ALARM and CHIME modes on or off.
When the alarm time is reached in the appropriate time zone, the watch will beep for 20 seconds or until any button is pushed. The alarm mode will be displayed. The alarm repeats every 24 hours until deactivated. The alarm can only be set for one time zone.
Time Zone
To set Time Zone 2:
- Press [MODE] to select TIME ZONE 2.
- Press and hold [SET] to set the time. The HOURS digits will flash.
- Press [START/SPLIT] to advance. Cycle through 12 hours for AM or PM.
- Press [MODE] to select TENS of MINUTES, then press [START/SPLIT] to advance.
- Repeat this process to set MINUTES, MONTH, DATE, and the 12- or 24-hour TIME display. Press [SET] when done.
Tide Time
This feature allows you to track tide times.
- Obtain the time of high tide.
- Move the HIGH TIDE pointer to the correct time on the dial.
- The time of low tide can be read on the opposite pointer.
Example: HIGH TIDE 2:00 PM, LOW TIDE 7:00 - 9:00 PM.
INDIGLO® Night-Light with NIGHT-MODE®
The patented electroluminescent technology used in the INDIGLO® night-light illuminates the entire watch face at night and in low light conditions.
- Press the [INDIGLO] button to illuminate the watch face.
- Press and hold the [INDIGLO] button for three seconds (a beep will sound) to activate or deactivate NIGHT-MODE®.
- While in NIGHT-MODE®, pressing any button will illuminate the watch face for 3 seconds.
Water Resistance
If your watch is water-resistant, a meter marking or symbol is indicated. Water resistance ratings indicate the pressure the watch can withstand below the surface.

WARNING: To maintain water-resistance, do not press any buttons or pull out the crown under water unless your watch is indicated as 200 METER WATER-RESISTANT.
- The watch is water-resistant only as long as the crystal, crown, and case remain intact.
- The watch is not a diver watch and should not be used for diving.
- Rinse the watch with fresh water after exposure to salt water.
Battery
Timex strongly recommends that a retailer or jeweler replace the battery. If applicable, push the reset button when replacing the battery. The battery type is indicated on the caseback. Battery life estimates are based on certain assumptions regarding usage; actual battery life may vary depending on usage.
DO NOT DISPOSE OF BATTERY IN FIRE. DO NOT RECHARGE. KEEP LOOSE BATTERIES AWAY FROM CHILDREN.
Timex International Warranty
Your TIMEX watch is warranted against manufacturing defects by Timex Corporation for a period of ONE YEAR from the original purchase date. Timex and its worldwide affiliates will honor this International Warranty.
Timex may, at its option, repair your watch by installing new or thoroughly reconditioned and inspected components or replace it with an identical or similar model.
This warranty does NOT cover defects or damages to your watch:
- After the warranty period expires.
- If the watch was not originally purchased from an authorized Timex retailer.
- From repair services not performed by Timex.
- From accidents, tampering, or abuse.
- Lens or crystal, strap or band, watch case, attachments, or battery. Timex may charge you for replacing any of these parts.
This warranty and the remedies contained herein are exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Timex is not liable for any special, incidental, or consequential damages. Some countries and states do not allow limitations on implied warranties and do not allow exclusions or limitations on damages, so these limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from country to country and state to state.
To obtain warranty service: Please return your watch to Timex, one of its affiliates, or the Timex retailer where the watch was purchased, together with a completed original Watch Repair Coupon or, in the U.S. and Canada only, a written statement identifying your name, address, telephone number, and date and place of purchase.
Please include the following with your watch to cover postage and handling (this is not a repair charge): a US$ 7.00 check or money order in the U.S.; a CAN$6.00 cheque or money order in Canada; and a UK£2.50 cheque or money order in the U.K. In other countries, Timex will charge you for postage and handling.
NEVER INCLUDE A SPECIAL WATCHBAND OR ANY OTHER ARTICLE OF PERSONAL VALUE IN YOUR SHIPMENT.
