This manual provides instructions for installing, operating, and maintaining the K-Rain K Connect Wi-Fi Tap Timer Kit.
Overview
Introduction
The K Connect Wi-Fi Hub is a device that enables Wi-Fi remote control for a K Connect Tap Timer. It is designed for indoor use only and requires a standard 240V power point with a consistent Wi-Fi signal. For optimal control, maintain a maximum distance of 10 metres between the Wi-Fi Hub and the Tap Timer. Ensure batteries are installed in the Tap Timer before connecting it to the Wi-Fi Hub.
Tap Timer Components
The Tap Timer consists of the following parts:
- 20/25mm BSP reducing bush
- 25mm tap adaptor
- TAP TIMER BUTTON
- Watering LED
- 20mm BSP outlet
- Battery compartment: requires 3x AAA alkaline batteries. Do not mix old and new batteries.
Tap Timer Key Features
- Set and check irrigation schedules via the Holman Home app.
- Manually turn off the water timer using the TAP TIMER BUTTON.
- Supports two schedule types: NORMAL SCHEDULE and MISTING.
- Watering delay options: 24, 48, and 72 hours.
- Low power indicator.
- Built-in filter: Requires regular cleaning and replacement to prolong the life of the K Connect Tap Timer.
- Working pressure: 50-800 kPa.
- Maximum flow: 25 L/min.
- Water and dust protection rating: IP54.
- Working temperature: 4°C - 50°C.
In temperatures below 4°C, the K Connect should be removed from the tap and stored indoors to avoid freezing damage.

Wi-Fi Hub Features
- Pairs with one K Connect Tap Timer for Wi-Fi remote control.
- For indoor use only; must be within Wi-Fi network range.
- For optimal control, maintain a maximum distance of 10 metres between the K Connect Wi-Fi Hub and the K Connect Tap Timer.

- Pink/Blue alternating: Provisioning mode

Installation
Installing Holman Home
- Download the Holman Home app to your mobile device from the App Store or Google Play.
- Open the Holman Home app. You may be prompted to allow notifications; the app functions even if you opt out.
- Tap SIGN UP.
- Read the User Agreement and Privacy Policy, then tap AGREE to proceed.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to register a Holman Home account with your email address. Ensure your country details are correct at this stage. You may be prompted to allow location access to display weather information; this is optional.
Adding your K Connect Wi-Fi Hub to Holman Home
- Plug your K Connect Wi-Fi Hub into a power point. It will begin flashing pink and blue alternately. If the indicator is solid pink, press and hold the WI-FI BUTTON until it flashes pink and blue alternately. If pairing times out, press and hold the button on the K Connect Wi-Fi Hub to return to pairing mode.
- Once the device is flashing pink and blue alternately, it is ready to be added to Holman Home.
- Open the HOME screen in the Holman Home app and tap the '+' icon (a) and then 'ADD DEVICE' (b).
- Your device should appear under 'DISCOVERING DEVICES' (c).
- Tap 'ADD' (d).
- On the subsequent ADD DEVICE screen, tap the '+' icon (e) to add the Wi-Fi Hub.
- Follow the prompts to enter your Wi-Fi credentials.
- After the device is installed, tap 'DONE' (f).
Adding K Connect Wi-Fi Hub via AP Mode
Use these steps if your K Connect Wi-Fi Hub does not appear under DISCOVERING DEVICES:
- In the ADD DEVICE menu, tap 'K-RAIN PRODUCTS' (g).
- Tap 'K Connect Wi-Fi Hub' (h) at the top right of the page.
- On the 'RESET THE DEVICE' page, tap the top right to reveal the dropdown menu (i) and select 'AP MODE' (j).
- Tap to CONFIRM THE LED IS CYCLING (k), then tap NEXT (l) to continue.
- Follow the prompts to enter your Wi-Fi credentials.
- Tap 'GO TO CONNECT' (m) to access your Wi-Fi settings menu.
- In the Wi-Fi network list, select the K Connect Wi-Fi Hub signal (n), which may appear as 'Smartlife-BB92'.
- For iOS, once the Smartlife network is selected, tap 'Holman Home' (o) in the top left to exit Settings and return to the app.
- For Android, if you are CONNECTED WITHOUT INTERNET, tap the Android Back Button (q) to return to Holman Home. If prompted that internet may not be available, choose 'Connect only this time' (p).
- The device connection screen will show a countdown as the K Connect Wi-Fi Hub is provisioned.
- Once the device is added, tap 'DONE' (r).
Batteries
- Unlock the front face by twisting it counter-clockwise (s).
- Pull out the sealed battery compartment lid (t).
- Install 3x AAA alkaline batteries (u).
- Replace the battery compartment lid.
- Replace the front face by ensuring the hooks lock into the body (v) and twisting the face clockwise (w).
Adding your K Connect Tap Timer to the Hub
After the Wi-Fi Hub is added, its home page will appear in the Holman Home app. This can also be accessed via the Wi-Fi hub icon on the Holman Home app's main screen.
- Tap '+ ADD DEVICE' to open the menu (x).
- Tap 'SEARCH FOR UNPAIRED DEVICES' (y).
- Tap 'LED IS FLASHING' (z) if the LED on your K Connect Tap Timer is flashing blue quickly. If the LED is not flashing quickly, press and hold the button for approximately 5 seconds. The LED will stop flashing after 1 minute.
- Allow the device to pair.
- Tap 'DONE' (A).
- Tap 'DONE' (B).
Operation
K Connect Home Screen
The K Connect Home Screen displays the following information:
- Back to Holman Home icon.
- Battery status.
- Watering status.
- TIME REMAINING for current watering cycle.
- Watering START/STOP button.
- Settings icon (⚙️).
- STATUS indicator.
- MANUAL WATERING section.
- STARTS section for scheduled watering.
- WATERING DELAY settings.
Manual Watering
- Tap 'MANUAL' to access manual watering controls.
- Tap 'MANUAL RUN TIME' (a) to access timer controls.
- Use the scroll wheels (b) to set the HOURS and MINS for watering, then tap 'SAVE' (c).
- Tap the play button (d) to start watering for the set duration, or tap the stop button (e) to stop watering early.
Scheduled Watering
- Tap 'STARTS' to access scheduled watering controls.
- Tap 'SETTINGS' next to the desired START (f) to configure the schedule.
- This allows configuration for each START:
- Enable/disable START (h).
- Set the START TIME (i).
- Select watering DAYS (j).
- Set the RUN TIME (k).
- Tap 'MISTING' (g) to access timing settings ideal for misting. These settings include:
- ON TIME (l) for the misting cycle.
- DELAY TIME (m) for the misting cycle.
Removing your Devices from Holman Home
Before removing the K Connect Wi-Fi Hub from Holman Home, please remove any paired K Connect Tap Timer.
- Tap the 3 dots (n) on the top right of the K-CONNECT TAP TIMER square.
- Tap 'DISCONNECT FROM K CONNECT Wi-Fi HUB' (o).
- Tap 'CONFIRM' (p) to disconnect.
- Tap the pencil icon (j) in the top right of the K Connect Wi-Fi Hub home screen.
- Tap 'REMOVE DEVICE' (k).
- To remove without resetting to default, choose 'DISCONNECT' (l).
- To reset to factory default, choose 'DISCONNECT AND WIPE DATA' (m).
Maintenance
Batteries
ⓘ Remove batteries from your K Connect tap timer during periods of non-use.
⚠️ Battery leakage can cause corrosion and damage to your K Connect Tap Timer.
Connection Issues
ⓘ If your K Connect Tap Timer shows as disconnected after replacing the batteries, wait a few minutes for Holman Home to update your device status.

Troubleshooting
I am having trouble accessing my K Connect Tap Timer
- When multiple users share the same Holman Home login, the first user to access the device controls the K Connect Tap Timer. If another user attempts to access it, the device will show as OFFLINE until the first user moves to another Home or exits the Holman Home app.
- The K Connect Tap Timer and Wi-Fi Hub cannot be shared with different Holman Home logins.
Warranty
2 Year Replacement Guarantee
Holman Industries offers a 2-year replacement guarantee with this product. In Australia, goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Consumers are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Goods can also be repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure is not major.
In addition to statutory rights, Holman Industries provides a Holman guarantee. This product is guaranteed against defects caused by faulty workmanship and materials for 2 years of domestic use from the date of purchase. Holman Industries will replace any defective product during this period. Packaging and instructions may not be replaced unless faulty.
If a product is replaced during the guarantee period, the guarantee on the replacement product expires 2 years from the original purchase date, not from the replacement date.
To the extent permitted by law, this Holman Replacement Guarantee excludes liability for consequential loss, other loss or damage to property, defects from improper use, accidental damage, misuse, tampering by unauthorized persons, normal wear and tear, and costs associated with claiming or transporting the goods.
