Programming

The Pro-LC offers three independent programs (A, B, C) for different watering needs. Programs can stack if they overlap. Each program requires at least one start time, watering day(s), and one station run time. Up to four start times per program are available for efficient watering.

Installation

The Pro-LC controller can be installed indoors or outdoors, complying with local electrical codes. Installation at eye level is recommended for best viewing and ease of programming. Ensure the mounting location has access to 115VAC or 220VAC power and sufficient clearance for conduit or junction boxes.

CAUTION: Ensure installation is performed by a qualified professional. Wiring terminals must be protected by insulating materials.

This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience, unless supervised. Children should be supervised not to play with the appliance.

Door Removal

  1. Open the enclosure door and swing it left.
  2. Grasp top and bottom of the door at the hinge with both hands.
  3. Gently pull forward until the door releases.

Connectivity

The Pro-LC is WiFi compatible and accessible via a smartphone/tablet app. Requires the Pro-LC controller and K-Rain BRIDGE WiFi Module, plus internet access.

Setup Steps:

  1. Download the K-Rain App from the App Store or Google PLAY Store.
  2. Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device.

Mounting the Controller

The controller has a keyhole slot on top/back and two mounting holes at the bottom/back. Mark the desired mounting position at eye level. Drive a fastener into the mark for the keyhole and hang the controller. Ensure the controller is level by using the lower circular mounting holes.

Field Wire Entrances

Two plugs are available at the bottom of the cabinet for routing valve, pump start, and sensor wires. These are sized for 1/2" PVC male adapters.

Connecting Valve Wires

Connect each valve's power wire to a numbered screw terminal (1-12). Connect the common field wire from all valves to the terminal screw between the Sensor and "P" (Pump) terminals. Use only code-approved wiring for underground installation.

Pump Start Relay

For systems requiring a pump start relay, the terminal is located between "C" and "1" screw terminals. The controller does not provide main power for a pump. Use jumpers for unused stations to prevent pump or system damage.

Rain Sensor Installation

Connect the two rain sensor wires to the terminals marked SENSOR, typically at #3 and #4 screw terminals. If using a rain sensor, uninstall the jumper wire. If not using a rain sensor, keep the jumper wire installed.

Powering the Controller

Recommendation: A licensed electrician should perform power installation. Ensure all electrical power is off before wiring. The enclosure door can be removed for easier installation.

Outdoor Controller: Use the bottom left hole for AC power wires and conduit. Connect AC wires to transformer wires inside the junction box, ensuring terminals are protected.

Indoor Controller: Powered by 24VAC with an external AC adapter. Simply plug the controller connector into the adapter.

Battery Replacement

The battery compartment is on the main board. The replaceable battery is a CR2032. CAUTION: Risk of explosion if replaced with an incorrect type. Dispose of used batteries properly.
