2. Getting Started
2.1 Charging
Fully charge the gimbal battery before first use. The gimbal supports quick charging via a USB 2.0 to Type-C cable.
The gimbal has a primary charging port for both gimbal and handle. There is also a separate handle charging port for handle-only charging.
2.2 Install the Tripod
Attach the 3/8-inch to 1/4-inch thread insert (factory mounted) to the 1/4-inch screw on the top of the tripod. Mount the tripod to the bottom of the gimbal. Unfold the tripod and place the gimbal on a flat surface.
2.3 Install the Remote Control Handle
To install the handle: wedge the buckle, push the handle down until the handle lock engages, then toggle the handle lock lever to the locked position. To detach: toggle the handle lock lever to the unlocked position and pull the handle up.
2.4 Adjust Gimbal to Balancing Position
The gimbal is folded by default. Toggle the tilt, roll, and pan lock levers to the unlocked position. Adjust the gimbal's arms to achieve a balanced state, then re-lock the three axes.
3. Mounting the Camera
Ensure your camera is ready for shooting (lens attached, lens cover removed, memory card and battery inserted, battery charged). Complete all steps in Chapter 2, and ensure the gimbal is in a balanced state. Power off or put the gimbal in sleep mode before mounting the camera.
3.1 Attach Quick Release Plate and Camera Backing Base (Optional)
Secure the quick release plate to the camera using the provided screw. For heavier setups, attach the camera backing base to the camera first, then to the quick release plate using two screws.
3.2 Install Lens Holder (Optional)
If using a long or heavy lens, install the lens holder onto the quick release plate. Ensure the rubber part of the holder is positioned directly under the lens for support.
3.3 Mount Camera on Gimbal (Horizontal Mounting)
Unlock the quick release plate safety lock. Slide the camera (mounted on the plate) into the gimbal's slot. Lock the safety lock once the camera is roughly balanced. Adjust the camera's left-right position using the slider lock to fine-tune balance, then re-lock the slider.
To Remove: Unlock the quick release plate safety lock and press the anti-drop column while removing the plate.
