2. Getting started
2.1 Charging
Fully charge the gimbal battery before first use. The gimbal supports quick charge via USB-C cable.
2.2 Adjust the gimbal to gimbal balancing position
Instructions for adjusting the gimbal from a folded position to a balanced position are provided with numbered steps.
3. Mounting the shooting equipment
Ensure the mounted equipment and accessories are within load requirements. Refer to the compatibility list at feiyu-tech.com for details.
Before mounting, ensure the camera is ready for shooting (lens installed, lens cover removed, memory card and battery inserted, battery fully charged). Complete "2. Getting started" steps and adjust the gimbal to the balancing position. Ensure the gimbal is powered off or in sleep mode before mounting.

3.2 Mounting a Camera (Optional camera accessories)
3.2.1 Attach the quick release plate
Attach the quick release plate to the camera by tightening the screw. If the camera lacks a 1/4-20 inch screw hole, use the provided mount adapter.

4. Gimbal balancing
Please balance the gimbal before shooting. Tutorial videos are available.
When using optional accessories for mirrorless/compact/action cameras, ensure the camera and lens are ready and the gimbal is powered off or in sleep mode before balancing. It is recommended to hold the camera first, then adjust the slide arm, cross arm, and vertical arm.
4.1 Balancing the tilt axis
4.1.1 Balancing the vertical tilt
- Unlock motor lock A and secure motor locks B and C.
- Position the camera lens vertically upward.
- Unlock, move ② in the opposite direction of the lens tilt until the lens remains vertically upward.
- Lock, supporting the camera upward to ensure proper fixation.
4.1.2 Adjust depth for the tilt axis
- Place the camera lens pointing horizontally forward.
- Unlock, move ② in the opposite direction of the lens tilt until the lens remains horizontally forward.
- Lock, supporting the camera to ensure proper fixation.
If the camera remains stationary at a tilt angle of about ±45°, the tilt axis is balanced.
4.2 Balancing the roll axis
- Unlock motor lock B and secure motor locks A and C. Observe the camera's tilt direction.
- Unlock, move ② in the opposite direction of the lens tilt until the cross arm remains level, indicating it is balanced.
- Lock.
If the camera remains stationary at a horizontal angle, the roll axis is balanced.
4.3 Balancing the pan axis
- Unlock motor lock C and secure motor locks A and B. Hold the handle and tilt the device to observe the camera's tilt direction.
- Unlock and move ② in the opposite direction of the lens tilt until the vertical arm stays still, indicating it is properly balanced.
- Lock.
If the camera remains stationary at a horizontal angle, the yaw axis is balanced.
5. Operation
5.1 Power ON/OFF
Ensure the gimbal is balanced and all three axes are unlocked before powering on. If not all axes are unlocked, the gimbal enters sleep mode. Single tap the power button to wake it up. Long press the power button until a beep sound is heard to power on/off.
5.2 Follow mode introduction
Follow Modes:
- PF (Pan follow): Only the pan axis follows the movement of the user's hand.
- PTF (Pan and tilt follow): Both pan and tilt axes follow the movement of the user's hand, but the roll axis does not.
- FPV: Pan, tilt, and roll axes follow the movement of the user's hand.
- Lock: All axes remain fixed, maintaining the camera's direction.
- FFW (Flash follow): All axes follow the movement of the user's hand at high speed.
5.3 Button operation
- Power button / M button: Long press for power on/off. Single tap to wake up (in sleep mode) or display battery level (when powered off). Double tap to enter sleep mode.
- M button: Single tap to cycle through PF, PTF, FPV modes. Tap five times for horizon calibration.
- Trigger button: Single tap for face tracking. Double tap to recenter (non-selfie mode) or selfie recenter (selfie mode). Triple tap to enter/exit selfie mode (Pan axis turns 180°). Press and hold for lock mode (release to exit). Functions can be customized via the App.
- Joystick: Push to control tilt and pan axes movement, or control the album.
- Shutter button:
- Camera Connected: Press halfway for focus. Single tap (fully) to start/stop recording. Long press (fully) to take a photo.
- Phone Connected: Press halfway for focus. Single tap (fully) for shutter. Long press (fully) to switch between video/photo mode.
- FPV button: Single tap to enter/exit FPV mode.
- F1 Button: Single tap to enter/exit album. Double tap to enter/exit portrait mode. Triple tap for Al power on/off. Long press to enter/exit Al tracking (with Al Power enabled).
- F2 Button: Single tap to lock/unlock screen (home page) or return to home page (other pages). Double tap to enter/exit FFW mode.
- Multifunction knob: Turn to control roll, tilt, and pan axes movement, electronic focus/zoom (requires Feiyu ON App), or focus motor. Adjust parameters on the touch screen. Long press the knob function switching button or swipe up on the home page to set the current control option (axes movement, electronic focus/zoom, or focus motor).
- Knob function switching button: Single tap to switch the control object (axes: Tilt/Pan/Roll, or electronic focus/zoom). Long press to switch control options for the multifunction knob.
Key Combinations:
- A: Joystick down + triple tap F2 button: Clears all Bluetooth pairing information for phone and remote. Re-pair after reboot.
- B: Joystick up + triple tap F2 button: Clears all Bluetooth pairing information for mirrorless camera. Re-pair after reboot.
- C: Knob function switching button + Power button: Press together for 1 second to force gimbal shutdown.

5.4 Touch screen operation
The touch screen provides access to various functions:
- Motor power: Use auto-tune or manually adjust motor power for each axis.
- Follow speed: Select different gimbal follow speed profiles or custom follow speed.
- Follow mode: Select gimbal follow mode (PF, PTF, FPV, Lock, FFW).
- Scenario: Scenario-based functional application.
Screen Navigation:
- Swipe from right to left: Joystick, gimbal, and more settings.
- Swipe from left to right: Shooting parameters settings.
- Swipe up: Multifunction knob settings.
- Return to previous menu: Swipe to right.
5.5 Al Tracking
Under Al Power-On State, the following controls are available:
Al Gesture Control
- OK gesture (Left or right hand): Start/Stop tracking. Green light indicates tracking; red light indicates standby. Separate gestures by 3 seconds.
- Thumbs opposite direction: Stop tracking and enter standby mode (red light).
- Spread palm (Left or right hand): Shutter. In photo/video mode, take photo or start recording after a 3-second countdown. Gesture again to stop recording.
- Double L-Shaped gestures: Custom framing. Green light blinks fast during framing; stays on when subject is positioned correctly and gesture is performed again.
- Two thumbs up gesture: Disable gesture control. Al tracking can still be controlled via buttons.
Button control
- Long press F1 button: Start tracking/Stop tracking.
- Triple tap F1 button: Al power on/off.
- Double tap Trigger button: Stop tracking.
5.6 Indicator
Follow status indicator:
- TILT = Tilt axis
- ROLL = Roll axis
- PAN = Pan axis
The indicator lights up when the corresponding axis follows the user's hand movement.
Camera/Bluetooth indicator
Battery indicator:
- Green light: Power on / Charging complete.
- Red light: Charging.
- Red light flashing rapidly: Low power, will auto power off.
- Light off: Power off.

Notice

When using Feiyu products/services, the following personal information may be collected:
- Gesture Control service: When enabled, the gimbal captures images of your head and hands for real-time gesture recognition. This processing is one-time and necessary for the service. Images and data are not stored. The Al camera can be turned off in More Settings > Al Power.
- Al Tracking service: When enabled, the gimbal captures images of your head and body for real-time tracking. This processing occurs during each recognition session and is necessary for the service. Head or body structure data is not stored or retained.
- Customer support: Content submitted to the support team may be collected.
- Policy updates: Policy content is updated periodically. Specific updates will be detailed in the manual on the official website at feiyu-tech.com.
Feiyu respects and prioritizes personal privacy. No video, audio content, or recordings generated during communications will be stored.
