Download the Feiyu ON app from the App Store or Google Play to control the gimbal. Requires iOS 9.0 or above, Android 6.0 or above.
2. Getting Started
2.1 Charging
Fully charge the battery before powering on the gimbal for the first time. Charging is done via USB-C cable and supports quick charge.
2.2 Adjust the gimbal to gimbal balancing position
Unlock all three axes and adjust the gimbal to a balancing position, then lock the axes. The gimbal is folded by default.
3. Mounting the Smartphone
Ensure you have completed the steps in "Chapter 2. Getting started" and adjusted the gimbal to the balancing position. It is recommended to remove the smartphone case before mounting. For horizontal mounting:
- Power off the gimbal or enter sleep mode. Rotate the smartphone holder to make it vertical for landscape shooting.
- Extend the smartphone holder and place your smartphone in the center.
Note: The gimbal must be off or in sleep mode before switching the mounting direction.
4. Gimbal Balancing
Balance the gimbal before powering it on. Ensure the gimbal is powered off or in sleep mode.
- Unlock the three axis locks and observe the tilt direction of the mobile phone.
- If the phone is tilted, loosen the fixing knob and move the cross arm in the opposite direction until it balances horizontally.
- Tighten the fixing knob.
5. Operation
5.1 Power ON/OFF
Before powering on, ensure the gimbal is balanced and all three axes are unlocked. If not, the gimbal will enter sleep mode. Single tap the power button to wake the gimbal after unlocking all axes.
To power on/off, long press the power button and release it when you hear the beep sound.
5.2 Follow mode introduction
- PF (Pan Follow): Only the pan axis follows the user's hand movement.
- PTF (Pan and Tilt Follow): Pan and tilt axes follow the user's hand movement; the roll axis does not.
- FPV (Full Follow): Pan, tilt, and roll axes follow the user's hand movement.
- Lock: All three axes are locked, keeping the camera direction fixed.
- FFW (Flash Follow): All three axes follow the user's hand movement at high speed.
5.3 Button operation
- Power button: Long press to power on/off; single tap to wake up; double tap to enter sleep mode.
- Trigger button: Single tap for face tracking; double tap to recenter; triple tap to enter/exit selfie mode (Pan axis turns 180°); press and hold for PTF mode (release to exit). Functions can be customized via the app.
- Mode button: Single tap to switch between PF/PTF/FPV modes. Tap five times for horizon calibration.
- Joystick: Controls the tilt and pan axes movement.
- FPV button: Single tap to enter/exit FPV mode.
- Knob function switching button: Single tap to switch the control object for the multifunction knob (Tilt/Pan/Roll axes or electronic focus/zoom).
- Multifunction knob: Turn to control the movement of the 3 axes (Tilt/Pan/Roll) or electronic focus/zoom.
- Shutter button: Press halfway to focus; single tap (fully) to start/stop recording; long press (fully) to take a photo (requires smartphone connection).
- L button: Single tap to continuously turn left, switching rotating speed (Slow/Med/Fast). Active in auto rotation mode.
- R button: Single tap to continuously turn right, switching rotating speed (Slow/Med/Fast). Active in auto rotation mode.
- Auto rotation button: Single tap to enter auto rotation mode. Single tap again to exit or pause rotation.
- F1 button: Double tap to enter/exit portrait mode (via Feiyu ON App).
- F2 button: Double tap to enter FFW mode.
5.4 Indicator
The gimbal has indicators for battery, Bluetooth, and follow status (TILT, ROLL, PAN). The indicator lights show the status of each function.
