Hardware Installation
Step 1: Use a phone cable to connect the G.fast port to a DSL splitter or directly to the telephone wall outlet.
Step 2: Connect a computer or Access Point to a LAN port using an Ethernet cable.
Step 3: Use the included power adapter to connect the POWER socket to an appropriate power source. Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the Zyxel Device.
Step 4: Check that the LED lights are already on.
LED Status Indicators:
- POWER
- Green Blinking: The Zyxel Device is booting, getting ready for use.
- Green On: The Zyxel Device is ready for use.
- Red Blinking: Firmware upgrade is ongoing.
- Red On: System failure.
- G.fast
- Green On: G.fast / VDSL2 / ADSL 2(+) link is up.
- Green Blinking (slow): Link is down and trying to detect carrier signal.
- Green Blinking (fast): Initializing the link.
- Ethernet LAN 1 & 2
- Green On: Ethernet is ready.
- Green Blinking: Transmitting/receiving LAN data.
Wall Mounting (Optional)
Drilling Guide:
Use the Quick Start Guide to mark the holes for drilling. Drill two holes in the wall at a distance of 80 mm. Use a 6.0-6.5 mm drill bit to drill two holes to a depth of 32 mm. Insert screw anchors and screws (not provided).
Mounting:
1. Place the Zyxel Device so the wall mount holes line up with the screws.
2. Slide the Zyxel Device down gently to fix it into place.
* Do not mount this Zyxel Device higher than 2 m on a wall.
