Quick Start Guide

Step 1: Hardware Connections

This section describes how to connect the hardware for your Zyxel VMG3625-T50B gateway.

Power Indicator

Indicator	Status	Description
POWER	Green: On	Power is on.
POWER	Blinking	Starting up.
POWER	Red: On	Malfunctioning.
POWER	Blinking	Upgrading firmware.

Internet Indicator

Indicator	Status	Description
INTERNET	Green: On	Internet is ready.
INTERNET	Blinking	Transmitting/receiving Internet data.
INTERNET	Red: On	Attempted to get an IP address, but failed.
INTERNET	--- Off	Internet is not ready.

Connection Options

Option 1-a (DSL Connection): Use the gray phone cable to connect the DSL port to a DSL splitter or directly to the telephone wall outlet.

Option 1-b (WAN Connection): Use an Ethernet cable to connect the WAN port to a gateway modem.

Optional Connection: Connect a computer to the LAN port using the yellow Ethernet cable.

Powering On: Connect the power cable to the VMG3625-T50B and press the power button.

Multilingual Connection Instructions:

German (DE): Verbinden Sie den DSL-Anschluss mit einem DSL-Splitter oder direkt mit der WLAN-Netzackdose an der Wand. Verwenden Sie dazu das grau Telefonkabel. Verbinden Sie den WAN-Anschluss mit einem Gateway-Modem. Schließen Sie einen Computer mit dem gelb Ethernet-Kabel an den LAN-Port an (optional). Use un cable Ethernet para conectar el puerto WAN a un módem de puerta de enlace. Conecte un equipo al puerto LAN con el cable Ethernet amarillo (opcional). Conecte el cable de alimentación al módem y presione el botón de encendido.
French (FR): Utilisez le câbe téléphonique gris pour connecter le port DSL à un filtre xDSL ou directement à la prise téléphonique murale. Utilisez un câble Ethernet pour connecter le port WAN à un modem. Connectez un ordinateur au port LAN en utilisant le câble Ethernet jaune (option). Branchez le câble d'alimentation au modem et appuyez sur le bouton ON/OFF.
Italian (IT): Utilizzare un cavo telefono grigia per collegare la porta DSL a un DSL splitter oppure direttamente alla presa del telefono al muro. Utilizzare un cavo Ethernet per collegare la porta WAN a un gateway modem. Collegare un computer alla porta LAN mediante il cavo Ethernet gialla (Opzionale). Step 2: WiFi Connection

This section guides you through connecting to the WiFi network.

Connecting via SSID

Use the SSID and Wireless key found on the device label to connect wirelessly. On your smartphone or notebook, find the SSID and enter the Wireless key to connect.

English (EN): Use the SSID and Wireless key on the device label to connect wirelessly to the VMG3625-T50B. On your smartphone or notebook, find this SSID. Enter the Wireless key to connect.
German (DE): Die SSID und der WLAN Schlüssel befinden sich auf dem Etikett am Gerät. Suchen Sie diese SSID auf Ihrem Smartphone oder Notebook. Geben Sie den Schlüssel für die WLAN-Verbindung ein.

Italian (IT): La SSID a la chiave wireless sono scritti sull'etichetta del dispositivo. Trova questo SSID sul tuo smartphone o notebook. Immetti il codice Wireless per effettuare il collegamento.
Dutch (NL): De naam van het draadloze netwerk (SSID) en bijbehorende wachtwoord staan op de label van het apparaat. Vind deze SSID op jouw smartphone of notebook. Vuer de Draadloze toegangscode in om te verbinden.
Finnish (FI): Löydät langattoman verkon nimen (SSID) ja salausavaimen laitteeseen liimatusta tarrassa. Eto SSID-tunnus älypuhelimessa tai kannettavassa tietokoneessa. Muodosta yhteys näppölemällä langattoman verkon avain.
Swedish (SV): SSID och trådlösa nyckeln finns på enhetens etikett. Hitta denna SSID på din smarta telefon eller bärbara dator. Ange den trådlösa nyckeln för att ansluta.

Connecting via WPS

Press the WPS button on the device for more than 1 second. Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on your client device (smartphone or notebook) or initiate WPS setup on your Android smartphone.

WiFi Indicator Status

Indicator	Status	Description
2.4G	Green: On	2.4 GHz WiFi is ready.
2.4G	Blinking	Transmitting/receiving data.
5G	Amber: Blinking	The VMG3625-T50B is connecting to 5 GHz WiFi via WPS.
5G	Green: On	5 GHz WiFi is ready.
5G	Blinking	Transmitting/receiving data.

Initial Setup

After connecting, you will need to log in to the gateway to complete the setup. Refer to the device label for the default username (admin) and login password.

Accessing the Gateway:

Open a web browser.
Enter the gateway's IP address: 192.168.11.
Enter the default username (admin) and password.
Click Login.
Follow the on-screen prompts in the Quick Start Wizard to complete the setup, including setting the Time Zone.

Multilingual Setup Instructions:

English (EN): Open a web browser and go to http://192.168.1.1. Enter the default User name (admin) and admin Login Password (on the device label), and then click Login. The wizard runs. Follow the Wizard prompts to complete the setup.
German (DE): Öffnen Sie einen Webbrowser und rufen Sie http://192.168.1.1 auf. Geben Sie den Standard Benutzernamen (admin) und das Admin Anmeldekennwort (auf dem Etikett des Geräts) ein und klicken Sie anschließend auf Login. Ein Assistent wird ausgeführt. Finnish (FI): Avaa selain ja siirry osoitteeseen https://192.168.1.1. Kirjoita oletusarvoinen käyttäjätunnus (admin) ja pääkäyttäjän salasana (laitteeseen liitettyyn tarraan) ja valitse sitten Login (Kirjaudu). Apuohjelma käynnistyy. Seuraa apuohjelman antamia ohjeita.

Wall Mounting (Optional)

The VMG3625-T50B can be mounted on a wall.

Measure 130.8mm on the wall for the mounting holes.
Drill two holes at the measured distance and insert wall mount screws and anchors (not provided) into the holes.
Align the wall mount holes on the VMG3625-T50B with the screws and slide the device down gently to fix it into place.

English (EN): Drill two holes on the wall at the distance of 130.8mm. Insert screw anchors and screws (not provided) into the holes. Place the VMG3625-T50B so the wall mount holes line up with the screws. Slide the VMG3625-T50B down gently to fix it into place.

Dutch (NL): Boor twee gaten in de muur op een afstand van 130.8mm van elkaar. Plaats schroef pluggen en schroeven (niet meegeleverd) in de gaten. Plaats de VMG3625-T50B zo dat de montagegaten in de muur op een lijn zitten met de schroeven. Schuif de VMG3625-T50B voorzichtig naar beneden om het vast te zetten.
